This completes the Toa Motu! This was a very fun project to work on, and its very satisfying to see it finished. I will follow up with some outdoor group shots - but first, Toa Rakau: The others: Poraru, Kyrehx, Hiko, Arai, Rewa

So I'm doing this over a phone, so the topic won't be as pretty as usual. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LogantoTheLeMatoran/Artwork/image.jpg This is Kohnoh, the Toa of the trees. He is a gem knight, in a roleplay Arctic and I are doing. Kohnoh is a slim and nimble archer, probably because he has to be quick and flexible when running and shooting. He is green with the occasional bluegreen plate and wears some kind of fancy Muaka leather in the form of a tunic. He wears an Avsa, the Mask of Hunger, for some reason. Some may say it is a test of his morality. He has equipped with bow and arrows and a small dagger. The string on his longbow has been enchanted to render it unbreakable. The arrows (made of wood) are created by his power of control over plants and the tips can be coated in many plant substances. The dagger is made of vibrating protodermis, making it hot and able to cut very easily through most substances. He wears the Gem Brace, a left-handed armguard that allows Kohnoh to access the full powers of the Gems. Kohnoh is one of those guys who doesn’t like being still for so long and is very active and sociable, along with sly, and greedy. Kohnoh served in the Ranger’s Guild before he was told that he was the descendant of Elysion, one of the Toa, specifically one of the Big Four, that took down the Makuta. He is also the self proclaimed co-leader of the group.

Is Greg still open to canonizing new details for the g1 story? If he isn't I can perfectly understand (And I don't know why he's even gone on this long) but if he is, I wonder if he can re-establish Plantlife as a female element. That's the one thing that still upsets me about the old story. I guess I just don't understand the thought process behind changing a story element based purely on a typo, since Plantlife was originally intended to be a female element. Bionicle's gender ratio is still very skewed, but if Plantlife were made female I think it would be a tiny bit better. Not to mention that there are no named Bo-Matoran or Bo-Toa, so no one would have to get genderbent. We've gotten a lot of other things canonized, why not this?

It's been ages since I've actually put something here in BBC, so I'm going to post a big one now! Over this past week, I've made quite a few MOCs, most of them being experiments in making small custom bodies. My Matoran design: Front: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/img_0038.jpg Back: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/img_0039.jpg Tyxama, Turaga of Fire: Front: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/tyxama_front.jpg Back: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/tyxama_back.jpg Sanmaka, post- Spherus Magna reformation female Toa of the Green Front: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/sanmaka_front.jpg Back: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Makuta-Miras/RandomBioMOCs/sanmaka_back.jpg Sanmaka was an experiment in building a titan-scale torso, and although it could do with a bit of tweaking, I'm happy with the overall result. The reason why I didn't make her sword any longer was because I wanted her to look like a soldier, and a short sword helps that along, and the excess amount of black on the hands was intended to look like gloves.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Plantlife was intended to be a female element, but was changed because of one typo? If so than what a shame, it was a missed opportunity. We all know that Bionicle has a lack of female representation, but I don't want to change already established characters. So my idea was to make Plantlife a female element like it was "supposed" to be. It would be perfect what with the whole "close to nature" aspect. I'm not trying to enforce stereotypes, but there is the whole "Mother Earth" thing so it fits on a surface level. They need different colors though. Blue doesn't fit at all. Green and brown would work so much better. I would also throw in pink as a tertiary color. As much as I dislike that color, it's very thematically appropriate for plantlife with flowers and all. And as far as I know there are no named canon characters with that element, so no one would have to be genderbent. It's just my headcanon but I hope you guys could like it too. I'll draw some art later to show what I mean.

This is my headcanon idea for Matoran of Plantlife. The one with the pink Kaukau is Phlox, and the other is Crysanth.

This is Buruk, A Turaga of the Green/Plantlife/Jungle that appears in my Knights of the Green Storyline. He was surprisingly difficult to build, since I was going for small, yet flexable. This is Gharo, a character in my Knights of the Green storyline. He's a Toa of the Green/Plantlife/Jungle or whatever you want to call it. He's also somewhat of a self-MOC since I absolutely love the color lime/neon green. Enjoy! for more info please read my Knights of the Green storyline, link in my signature.EDIT: That second pair of limbs on the back are not arms, they are wingsFront: http://www.brickshel...gharo_front.jpgBack: http://www.brickshel.../gharo_back.jpgSide Closeup: http://www.brickshel.../gharo_side.jpg
