Lego Sonic The Hedgehog......my Best Moc Yet.

Recommended Posts

I decided to enter the Systems based creations contest this time, and my inspiration was from a Lego Shadow the hedgehog, so why not the main regular old Sonic most of us know and love. (Unless you are a Mario fan. :P)1. http://www.majhost.c...1/SONIC/067.jpg2. http://www.majhost.c...1/SONIC/068.jpg3. http://www.majhost.c...1/SONIC/069.jpg (Notice the fragilness in one of his legs :P)4. http://www.majhost.c...1/SONIC/070.jpgEnjoy,and critisisom is taken, as long as you don't say it in a mean way.My first system moc, and I would give it a 4/5 in my opinion.

I'm not sure exactly how to judge this, just like on should just something based on its theme. I see that you're aiming for a mosaic feel. In that case, I like its accuracy, it is nothing but Sonic, and you nailed that. Unfortunately it's also nothing but a mosaic of Sonic.LEGO bricks are not cubic, and so, mosaics can be difficult. Here, you did really good, and that didn't really change the MOC. I say you take this reviews not as a criticism, but as tips for future MOCs.Perhaps you should try attempting more cubic design with some SNOT, and perhaps a mosaic background, so Sonic is part of a scene. Obviously the best way to make a MOC is assuming one has all the pieces, and judging by certain part choices, you don't have that. (None of us do, since LEGO is expensive) Nevertheless, perhaps you should try a more complex design, and perhaps building it smaller to optimize parts. I really like this MOC. It's Sonic, done well. Keep in mind that exploration and innovation is equally important as what you are building, and don't be afraid to try out some weird part technique.Wonderful MOC, and amazing for a first MOC.Here's a link you might like, I've found it very useful.
