Hi, guys!:) Ninjago was originally about heroic ninja protecting the land of Ninjago from various threats. When the story progresses, we learn that there are sixteen realms, and Ninjago is one of them. It’s like Norse mythology with nine realms.

This is revealed in Season 5: Possession (you know, with Morro and the green ghosts who wanted to unleash their giant queen on Ninjago).

There are many ways to go from Realm to Realm.

Here are the list of the known ones of the Realms until Season 9 ended:

1. The Realm of the Oni and the Dragon - the first of the realms. It is where Season 9 took place sort of, as the Ninja got stuck in there. It’s also where the Oni and Dragons fight and the First Spinjitzu Master came from.

2. Ninjago - the main setting in the franchise. The FSM created this Realm.

3. The Underworld - the Skeletons live there. It’s under Ninjago.

4. The Dark Realm - Introduced in Season 1, where Lord Garmadon got an extra of arms and the power to use all four of the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. Sensei Wu went there to get Lord Garmadon’s help to fight the Serpentine and save Lloyd Garmadon.

5. Cloud Kingdom - a place on the clouds where people write destinies.

6. The Cursed Realm - That was where people from Ninjago get imprisoned. That was also where the Ghosts live, and their queen is the physical embodiment of the place. This is destroyed when Nya used her Water powers to destroy the queen.

7. Djinnjago - That was where Djinns. Nadakhan’s place. It was destroyed when the Cursed Realm was destroyed.

8. Chima - That’s where another Lego theme called Legends of Chima took place.

9. The Departed Realm - That’s where dead people in general go.

Now, we don’t know about the other seven realms. We can make theories about and hopefully they can come true. They could be other Lego themes, like Legends of Chima. In my theories, these realms would be:

1. Nexo Knights - people in there kept calling their home “Realm”. Talk about a keyword.

2. Lego City/Clutch Powers - In an episode in Season 1, Cole once said that Clutch Powers found the Blade Cup. Clutch Powers is a character from a direct-to-video movie called Lego The Adventures of Clutch Powers in 2010. This dude is traveling to many places. He lives in Lego City, which is related to the theme with the same name. A video game called Lego City Undercover in 2013 takes place in Lego City, so it’s possible that Clutch Powers and the video game share the same place.

3. Lego Ultra Agents - two characters from Ninjago, Tox and that invisible guy, look like villains from that Lego theme. It’s possible that they were villains who reformed because of the events in Ninjago’s Season 4. I know that they may have character animation models that got inspired by the Ultra Agents villains, but that could be it.

4. Lego Power Miners/Lego Atlantis/Lego Pharaoh’s Quest/Lego Alien Conquest/Lego Dino Attack in 2012 - Well, one of Atlantis’ descriptions did say that one of the Atlantis search team’s member came from PM indirectly. A Lego magazine in 2011 did say that these themes share the same world.

5. Lego Monsters Fighters/Lego Galaxy Squad - Well, in a Lego magazine in 2012, when a vampire’s mansion from MF made a beam of light, it reached space and then got the attention of the bug-like aliens from GS.

6. Lego Alien Conquest - Well, the aliens’ home world.

7. Lego Galaxy Squad - Well, the bug-like aliens’ home world.

So, there. What do you think? What theories do you have in mind? Well, I believe that Ninjago’s Season 10 would be about the Ninja fighting against the Oni, who left the First Realm and seem to plan to conquer all of the Realms. Plus, I think that Ninjago is developing a shared TV universe, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Flash-Arrow TV universe.

I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!:)

With the exception of Nexo Knights. I think the other 6 realms should be left ambiguous. That way the writers can still use them for future seasons.

Clutch Powers the movie is drastically different from Ninjago in that the characters act like minifigures and can be taken apart. There is probably another character in Ninjago named Clutch Powers

Same with Paleman and Tox. They are confirmed to be descendants of Elemental Masters. So they are similar to there Ultra Agents characters. But not the same ones.

We now know what all of the 16 Realms parallel to Ninjago are. Took 11 years (since 2015) to learn what they are. Lol. I don’t know why that took so long, but yes: https://ninjago.fandom.com/wiki/Merged_Lands .

It’s a pity that Nexo Knights and Lego Dreamzzz are not realms connected to Ninjago, but I hope they can be considered to be in another part of Ninjago’s galaxy. There’s no such thing as impossibility.

I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!:)

Here's a topic I didn't think I'd ever see again.

As someone who's only seen the first three seasons of Ninjago, that Wikia page is a wild read. I get the concept of alluding to "other worlds" as an easter egg for fans of other LEGO properties to headcanon them as existing in the same multiverse if you want, but I really don't want to see Kai and the gang getting involved on Metru Nui and retroactively making Bionicle worse.

A neat note I did find in that Wikia page is that, within Ninjago, some other LEGO properties are not parallel realms but do exist as fictional stories. This is another thing that bugs me about shared universes, easter eggs can be done as having different storylines co-exist, OR by having fictional stories reference other fictional stories as fictional stories, and it gets complex in years-long stories and mistakes are made. I know Drake & Josh both exists in iCarly as a fictional TV show, while characters from D & J also show up in iCarly, and the only real solution is to just not think about it.

(As another weird implication of shows from that era of TV, Victoria Justice appears in iCarly in the crossover episode with Justice's own TV show, and she also appears on iCarly playing an unrelated character, so if we're taking the show as literal we must conclude Tori Vega and Shelby Marx are completely identical and people who have met both of them just don't comment upon it.)
