Hapori Tohu
There's a new rumor going around, according to Variety, that future movies based on LEGO may be produced by Universal instead of Warner Bros. LEGO has already adapted Universal properties in the past, such as Jurassic World, so there could certainly be some credibility to the talks. Apparently Dan Lin, who has produced all four big screen outings from LEGO so far, would stick around for future films. It would be interesting since a Universal LEGO film wouldn't be able to have the same characters as a Warner Bros one, so if the deal happens, don't expect a LEGO Batman 2. Let us know what you think of the possible move in the Talkback!View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
Lenny7092
Well, I heard that Universal is trying to get the rights to make a live action Hero Factory movie. Would they like to try making a live action constraction cinematic universe, where it’s like a mix of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Transformers, and Bionicle and Hero Factory share the same universe? We need that. Not a The Lego Something Movie. Plus, I would like that Universal would try making Lego movies that have Warner Bros and Disney franchises interact and appear there for the sake of people. Lego Star Wars and Lego Marvel need to appear in a Lego Movie for our sakes. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
