They're not that flimsy! The weight is evenly distributed throughout all of them so there's no issue. The weight is centered and inclined to lean forward, but all the joints are incapable of bending forward unless they are twisted. In the end it is actually super sturdy! About 6 ripcords is enough to hold the whole thing, the additional 6 make it sturdy and reliable.
