They came in specific mask packs that only had metallic gold and silver masks in them (and I believe some krana kal). Released in Krana packs, and for that reason are not considered rare. Gold ones have gotten a bit pricier, but it was sort of joked back in the day that you'd have a pile of spares to swap back in the day while hunting for the far more numerous Krana. More expensive than set masks, less expensive than any other collectible pack masks. Still neat though. I think I have about 3 sets of each, mostly spares from buying Kanohi lots the past few years when I was still finishing my collection of them.
