That is actually so neat if true, like imagine getting a Bionicle mask in a little gift bag from school! So cute!

Happy 20th anniversary, Bionicle’s 2006 story arc!
Aiden replied to Lenny7092's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Either they never meant it or they all just understand that they can’t be mad because they’d do the same, which is even funnier -

Returning Collector Looking for Prototype Glatorian Masks
Aiden replied to Alpa Chino's topic in Buy/Sell/Trade
Yeah would love to see which one they’ve got, the glatorian helmets are some of the coolest protos imo just cause they went super crazy with the colors -
Bionicle G1 Retrospective: What set means the most to you?
Aiden replied to Torak's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Kirop! He was my first Bionicle, and I absolutely love the Phantoka/Mistika waves. Runner ups would be Vamprah and Bitil, the two my cousins had. Lots of good memories! -

Got an idea for a project but I need some advice.

If you’re doing this for praise, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. You should do something because you want to, because you’re passionate about it. Praise shouldn’t be your goal. And from what I’m reading, people have offered genuine criticism- which is help. It’s up to you to make something of it. -
I’ve recently started drinking soju (a Korean spirit) and Sapporo (a Japanese beer). Soju doesn’t have a burn to it which I prefer, and Sapporo doesn’t have much of a bitter flavor like other beers, and hits smoother. Both very good.

The stud on a real VMKK won’t be chromed, because of the process used to apply the metal. VMKK are just GPKK with a Vacuum Metal coating, and the stud is where the piece was most likely held in place during the process.

While I quite like g2, it’s fairly unmemorable. The only advertisement for it I remember is a single teaser in a Lego Club magazine one month- which got me pretty excited, but I pretty quickly forgot about it. After seeing the new line of g2 sets in store one day, months later, I didn’t even remember that teaser, and had no idea g2 was a thing. I picked up a Pohatu and the black & trans purple defender, and they were cool sets, but nothing I feel strongly for. A few years back I had bought a few lots of g2 sets and I’ve got to say the sets were (for the most part) pretty good. Umarak the Hunter, Toa Ekimu (despite its weird leg proportions) and the unreleased JTO Makuta are awesome, just nothing I have a childhood connection with. I feel most fans of Bionicle had either already moved on or were just adults by the time g2 came around, and the terrible marketing (or lack of marketing altogether) made it so there weren’t a whole lot of new people really getting into it.

Hey all! I’m looking for a trans black shadow leech misprint. These were found in random 08 Makuta sets. Two popped up on Reddit somewhat recently, but I never heard back after reaching out. If you’ve got one of these, please shoot me a DM and we can hopefully work something out. Linked below will be a link to one of these Reddit posts for reference. (I’ve also been looking for a G2 art book “The Art of Bionicle” for a few years now. If you happen to have one you might be willing to part with, shoot me a dm!)

Huh, interesting! I don’t think I’d be able to do it if the salt wasn’t fully dissolved though. To each their own! My mom is really into that stuff too. I don’t really get it, but I mean it doesn’t matter if I do or not haha. I definitely enjoy some hot tea from time to time.
-
How does that taste? I’m pretty familiar with putting lemons/limes in water, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of putting salt in it (outside of cooking). I know it’s meant more as an electrolyte sub than a flavor thing, but I’m curious. Fun to hear you’re still enjoying coffee haha, good reminder to pick some up sometime for those early Sunday mornings.

I hate to break it to you, but 1) Bionicle returning as it was isn’t realistic at all since the moulds have been destroyed, our best bet as @masterchirox580 said is brick-built recreations of older sets similar to the GWP. I don’t think it’s crazy to call Bionicle dead, when they aren’t really making any sets or media for the theme. Can’t say anybody was being pessimistic though, seems like everyone was just being understanding as to the reasons these statues were unfortunately taken down. 2) We don’t have any rights to stuff that Lego doesn’t want us to see/have access to. Not to mention I could’ve SWORN it has been discussed before that Faber could only share drawings- way before he and Duck shared all of that recent stuff. While it’s neat we got to see that stuff, we definitely had no right to.

Oh gotcha, I wasn’t sure if Eurozone was its own thing or just another way of saying Europe haha. That makes more sense. Y’all have two cent pieces? I don’t think I’ve seen those before, that’s pretty neat. Been awhile since I’ve actually looked into foreign coins or anything like that.
-
Ooh Dracula! I’m not much of a horror guy, but I’ve wanted to read some of the older stuff for awhile. Also love Edgar Allen Poe, but in all fairness I’ve only read what they had us back in high school. I might check those others out you recommend sometime! Oh dang that’s cool, I didn’t know EVERY European country had its own coins. I knew there were a ton of different ones, but that’s neat. We don’t have a whole lot of variance here in the US, it’s really just the older stuff that’s cool. Iirc, we used to have a three cent piece around the 1800s.

Tears of the Kingdom was AWESOME. I absolutely loved it, definitely some things there I like more than Breath of the Wild, but there’s a lot about BoTW that I like more than ToTK. Hard to choose a favorite. I recently beat The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and just beat Super Mario Party Jamboree yesterday! Two great games, safe to say I’m still playing them despite completing their story/campaigns. I’ve also been playing Pokemon White 2- I originally just borrowed it from a friend to transfer the Dream Radar exclusives, but decided to play through it. It’s fun, but doubt I’d have the patience for it normally, and would never pay the going rate for these secondhand. There’s an exploit for that generation that lets you get event Pokemon, so I’m rocking a full team of lvl 100s 🤣

That’s awesome! I wish I could still enjoy books like I used to, I’ve been meaning to read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I used to dabble in writing poetry and short stories, it was fun but I could never quite meet the standard I wanted to. Have you read anything good lately? I also used to collect coins, particularly foreign! They’re a lot of fun, some of my favorites are the Canadian pennies since they don’t make them anymore. I’ve always been fascinated with retro tech! I tried collecting some when I was younger, you can imagine how well that went for somebody without income haha. I’ve got some bangers though, the NES Deluxe Set, the Gameboy, Gameboy Micro. I’m looking to hopefully get a Virtual Boy, someday. YouTube is such a great way to express creativity, I’m glad you enjoy it! I still enjoy it a ton, my one hurdle is that I hate editing the audio haha. I use OBS to record my footage, and I have a Live Gamer Mini capture card for when I need footage from my consoles

I’ve never been able to do sparkling water, but I’ve been drinking a lot more herbal teas recently as well! They’re very calming and have a nice taste. With the holidays right around the corner, do I got any egg nog or apple cider fans here? I’m huge on them, and I’ve noticed apple cider to be one of the very few drinks that are just as good cold or hot.

Absolutely scouring the internet, and actively keeping an eye out in various communities will always be your best bet. Sometimes they pop up, sometimes a person posted about having something a decade ago and they still have it. And if you do find somebody who has one, and decide to message them, be tasteful. Be polite, express your interest in the item, but don’t bother them further than asking once. Additionally, anybody with one of a kind items (like the gold g2 masks) are best left alone. They in particular have most likely been massaged hundreds of times about their items, and you’d more than likely be wasting their time and yours. Good luck! Prototype hunting was an absolute blast for me and I got to meet so many wonderful people along the way.

I definitely agree, I’m just at a point in my life where I don’t watch movies or television all that often, and on the off chance I do, I don’t want to have to get a physical disc out and put it in my Xbox. I’m more of a physical enjoyer when it comes to video games.

Good selection haha. I was originally going to get all of the Bionicle movies, but I don’t care for them other than the first one. The Hero Factory Show was pretty good, and so were the LSW specials. Clutch Powers is my favorite of the bunch, definitely worth it (you can find Clutch Powers on DVD super cheap, along with pretty much everything you listed)
