Hello, Vahkoro aka IrishJohnny here,

I was a comic maker back in 2005/2006 or so, maybe earlier. Made a few topics, developed a small group of friends and stuff. You can see come of my old stuff on my BrickShelf, which is Vahkoro.

BZP was always there for my younger years and has molded me to become creative in my old age. Here is a comic I've made as a now 33 years experienced human. Nothing much, but someone may enjoy seeing this pop up.

I don't think I've clicked on a BZPower update faster in my life! 

VAHK! I remember making comics with you!! I was literally reminiscing about this yesterday! Completely ironic!!!

I most certainly enjoyed this comic as much as you enjoyed making it for old times sake!! 

20 years is way too long. BZPower will live forever in my heart, and making comics with you will always be one of my many many fond memories on this platform. 

I still have saved all of the comics I contributed.

Oh yes! I definitely remember you! I forgot all about Appetite for Comedy! I lost most of my work when MHost got shut down. It's so cool that there are still people on here from way back when! You were definitely a big part of my years here and I always remember how care free the good old days were! So cool!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I woke up, put on the Bionicle Movies, and got to work on this! So nostalgic to be here again.

What prompted you to make the comic and come back? I've dabbled with the idea for so long, but maybe its a sign to come back or something. Or maybe it's just in the air...

You know I was talking to a friend at work yesterday, showed them some of the strips, and they asked if i would make another one. I woke up this morning and got right to work. I'll never not be creative. Life gets in the way, work, children, bills, blah blah blah.

I imagine that was incredibly freeing. Just making a comic like you used to, no cares or worries about it being approved, it was just purely for the fun of it. 

It's funny how with MS Paint's limitations, you can find it satisfying in making sprite comics. 

I really believe we all lived through a small golden age of sprite comics, when LEGO Bionicle was popular.

Classic rule breaking here. 

But I haven't been glued to a web page checking it multiple times by refreshing it in a long time. Tis a very nostalgic day.

Double posting, posting off topic within the topic. I remember those are very big no nos during posting. 

Or posting really small with a spammy comment. 

Basically enforcing kids to be aunthentic with their communication.  :spank: :lol-sign:

Makes sense! Keeps it clean and professional. Guess I will continue to give us all something to talk about! New comic up! If I feel like continuing on with this, I will clean up the post and make it organized. Didn't think anyone would even see it in the first place!

The continuity of the broken window is the kind of details I majorly appreciate. 

Gonna be honest, I don't recall the christmas colors, nor these side characters.

But I really hope that they continue to be a benefit to society.

Haha! I don't think I used them often or at all. They were made for a series I planned I think. I'm just using my sprite sheets and anything I find someone may remember. Idk why I had Christmas colors, but I vaguely remember it.

IDK if this is your experience, but I still vividly remember coming up with my personal avatar sprites. I probably spent 2-3 hours picking colors, and staring at the Razor Kit kanohi selection. And once I made it, that was it, no turning back. 

I ironically still love the color combination. 

I should dig up my sprites now and see what I find.

I actually did the same thing really. So much time spent deciding what I wanted to look like, going to the "shop topics" and requesting different sprites. I finally just decided on my favorite colors and went from there. I still think I made the right choice!

I don't ever recall using the shops/kits forum to get sprites, I was able to figure out how to do it in MS Paint from someone's tutorial. Once I figured out how to grab a kit, and use the eraser to use the reverse colors, it was game time.

yeah, because of the low user count, it's not really a thing any more. same with topic revival. that not a thing anymore either.

Forgot if this is how we do this or not, but, 3rd comic of the day is in top post.

I won't be updating this as much as I did today, but it was just so much fun to do this again!

I am not making any plans for now, but I will try to update with more strips and based them off of my life since my last comic topic. It was so cool to get a reaction so quickly and to see familiar faces still active!

When you turn 30, grumpy is just another word for "I honestly don't give a rat's-pa-tootie about anything anymore, and I'm fine with that."
