Laris - Fire Form

This is my entry into the BBC Contest #63, Laris. I posted her in an earlier incarnation on the old forums. In this updated form she is a fire elemental. I based her head off of Kayru's 'Kayru Kitsune' MoC. Anatomical Poses against the grass bg like the one for the Pose are coming. The torso and head are nicely designed but the colors are just all over the place. Maybe you could add more red pieces on to this. After all, this is the fire form. Other than that, you did a great job on this!

I like the torso and head, but there doesn't seem to be much red, and it doesn't seem very fiery. I also don't like pairing gold with red, orange, silver, and black all at once.

More Red pieces? I think there is plenty of red. It be Metru Red, but it is red. None of my Mata Red pieces would really have worked here. (I don't actually have much Mata Red...) Personally, I don't like sets or MoC's totally dominated by one color, not to mention that fire is not just red. It is orange, and white, and yellow. Oh I'll continue after responding to the next, cause these intertwine.

Not much red? I don't get this. Look at the frontal pose. The Head, the fore and upper arm, lower leg, hips are all red. The Chest incorporates Red as does the tail, feet, hands.... When I thought of a flame, I didn't consider just red. There is smoke and char (the black), there are different colors of flame (the red, trans red, trans orange, white and gold) and let no one forget the possibility of a holder for the flame (the silver armor in this case being the ghost of a charred holder).I'm sorry if I seem irritated, I'm not. I'm just honestly confused how red seems to be the only color being considered as representative of Fire. I reference you to BS01, where Fire is recorded as having two main colors, red and orange, and Ta-Matoran (our most numerous fire types) having four identified colors: red, orange, black and yellow.Some insight into the preference for a mostly red piece?
