Pretty cool, I like the Ignika trail. It looks neat.Suggestions I have are to get some new GIMP brushes. They're really easy to find online, and they help tremendously with art like this. That way your planets don't all have the exact same texture.

I don't really have any advice I could give, GIMP wise since I don't use it. Bust what Eeko suggested sounds like a right good idea. What I would suggest however is maybe tone down the size of Aqua Magna and Bota Magna just a slight bit, and maybe add some shadowing to the planets. But otherwise a pretty good start.
