What is telegram?

It's basically an instant messaging service.

Never knew about this service, I just thought you were wondering if people still used actual telegrams. Due to it's age, whenever I think of telegrams I always think of old Hannah-Barbara cartoons. Yogi Bear and Quick Draw McGraw and whatnot.

Yes, I use Telegram and I know a couple of people who do. It may be more popular in Berlin than elsewhere because this is where it comes from. Anyway, it's very good, notifications are super reliable and overall it's rock solid and there is a steady influx of new features, while keeping the clients light at the same time.
