I already had some idea of what to expect from recommendations. But it's saddening enough even knowing that. I can't imagine what it would be like airing for the first time.

I have never watched any mahou shoujo until now. I simply watched it because of recommendations and Gen. It was the best darn anime ever.

I have heard nothing but good things as well.

 

Even from manly Japanese exchange students...

 

Perhaps I can make an exception.
