Hurricane sandy

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Forgive the religious references, but I always see hurricanes with this song playing

Why you got to be like that?

I've been seeing a trend where topics that are negative tend to get more attention. My question is why? Honestly does discussing negative topics make you feel better? Maybe it does maybe it doesn't, for me it doesn't. Seeing people talk about negative topics ruins the party its like going to a party and meeting someone only to tell them how horribly murdered your grandmother was, yep that stop a party in a minutes. I guess I just don't like seeing people so negative, I'm not saying that I haven't discussed negative things in the past (see my "Great and horrible decisions characters made") , but all I really want to see is people talking more about the positive things like what they like or something along those lines. Is that too much to ask?

What is with y'all and hating on the website because you can't discuss something? You could always find an a place outside of this website to talk about these things and if you tried hard enough you might be able to find the same people on here at some other place. Come on all you you can't be as pathetic as me and only have a single account on the internet where you talk to people.

Or you could just write in allegory. Then not a single rule is broken and you still get your ideas out there. And you might get better at writing too. Unless of course I missed a rule that doesn't allegory.

For some reason I have a feeling that the flame war over homosexuality will rear its ugly head again. If such a thing happened the above quote would be my response to such a flame war. That and "just shut up, you people are getting nowhere".

*Not if anyone interprets anything I said as me being hateful or bigoted, I will lock this entry and delete ANY comment that "debates" the subject. I will explain if needed.

News, daww

SAO PAULO - A 41-year-old car washer shocked his family when he interrupted a funeral being held for him at his mother's home in the town of Alagoinhas in northeastern Brazil, police said Tuesday.
Police inspector Roberto Lima said by telephone that on Sunday Jose Marcos Araujo identified a body at the city morgue as being that of his brother, Gilberto.
Lima said that Jose Marcos took the body to his mother's home where a wake was held.
"The confusion started when news started circulating that a car washer had been shot dead," Jose Marcos' wife, Ana Paula, told the -possible non BZP allowed website-. "Police called my husband and told him that his brother had been killed and his body was at the morgue."
Lima said the confusion was "understandable."
"The two men closely resembled each other and both worked as car washers," Lima said adding that the man whose body was in the morgue was named Genivaldo Santos Gama. He said further information on Gama was not immediately available.
A few hours before the Monday burial "a friend of Gilberto's saw him walking down the street and told him that his family was mourning him," he said.
"So he went to his mother's home to let everyone know he was very much alive."
When Araujo showed up at his wake "some people fainted and others were so scared they ran away. It was a big shock," family friend Maria Menezes told the G1 online news site.
Gilberto's mother Marina Santana told reporters "I am overjoyed. What mother wouldn't be after being told that her son is dead and then sees him alive."

News, Wrong, Bethesda

Associated Press

BETHESDA, Md. - A Virginia woman is in custody after police say she rammed her car into a vehicle outside the entrance of Bethesda Naval medical.
Police say an officer at the hospital shot at the woman's car after the collision Tuesday morning but did not strike her. The officer was injured, apparently when he used a baton to strike the woman's car.
Montgomery County Police spokesman Paul Starks identifies the woman as Angela Akosua Cobbold from Manassas. Starks says she is being treated and charges are pending.
Starks says earlier Tuesday, Cobbold's car had been spotted going more than 90 mph on Interstate 66 in Virginia. He says officers also received a report that the woman was seen eating a bar of soap.
The woman never got on the base.
