Open the friends window. At the bottom should be a button that says 'Add Friend' or something like that. Type in steam ID and that should automatically add whoever you want to add.

 

My current actual name is #Kothra. Searching that should find me.

I believe my steamid is Djekkar, but I changed the screen name to Bio D first thing I could. Not sure which one you need.

Ugh, I keep forgetting that the search feature ignores original Steam names. Display name is AAAA and av is this. Should be around the fifth page.
