  1. Yeah, Fire did a pretty good job of it, but look at Hahli. In her Inika form, there's nothing watery about her other than her color, and in her Mahri form, she had wings.
  2. It's not worthless at all. I will love it with or without a reference to the original series. It would just be nice for Lego to show some little hint, just for fun.
  3. This. I'd rather that the story stay as a new, original thing, not in any way canonically linked to G1. But having little references in there would be wonderful.
  4. Minus Macku and Onepu. Also, "supposedly?" What does that mean?
  5. Until further notice, I'm applying as many Gen I details as possible to the Gen II story. Such as the Protectors having Turaga names, villagers being called Matoran, masks having Kanohi names--- I'm imagining all of this to be true until we either get official names for them or it is confirmed that there are no names.
  6. When I said double-handed weapons, I meant a single weapon that has to be held by two hands, a la Gali Mistika. I did not mean weapons that were duplicated and had one in each hand, a la Tahu Nuva. Those I'm fine with.
  7. I prefer the Mahri simply because their sets are far more enjoyable. No double-handed weapons, not as much silver...
  8. And the Turaga have been replaced with Protectors... and Ekimu, the Mask Maker, looks like a protector... Illuminati confirmed
  9. Wow, I had no idea the Glatorian sets were that fragile. I have eight 09 sets, Vastus and Gresh included, and none of them has broken anything. Also, now that I think about it, I have an 08 Lewa that I wouldn't mind taking apart to donate limbs to Ehlek. Maybe I will get him.
  10. Ah, ok. TOK represents anti-canonization because Greg has confirmed that it has no role in the story, doesn't exist, will never be canonized. And I'm mostly joking, I just think the idea is funny.
  11. I... don't know how to respond to that? Did I offend you in some way?
  12. I kinda get the impression that Lego means for us to take the legends literally. Then again, the entire background of G1 turned out to be literally just a legend, since even the Turaga had no idea what they were talking about, so I suppose it is possible that Ekimu is more than he appears to be... I just don't think that any sort of late-game surprise like that would be as drastic as "oh wait god was evil the whole time". Maybe Ekimu is more/less powerful than the legends claim he is, but that's about the extent of what I think they'd do with regards to his part in the story.
  13. Agreed. I can completely understand why some people like the Visorak and are glad that they are canonically alive. I simply never had a large fondness for them.
  14. Krakhka Krekka Krika KrahkaKrekkaKrika Krahkakrekkakrika Anyway... personally, I ignore the little bit in Journey's End that states that the Visorak were reconstituted by Teridax after he took over the universe. To have a minor story arc revolving around the destruction of the species, and then to have them come back two years later because of a literal deus ex machina just annoys me. So, no more Visorak.
  15. Replaced Stars Takanuva's mask, shoulder armor, and chest armor with gold equivalents from the 03 set.
  16. >Announcing the "easter egg hunt" months after fans already spotted it >Refusing to call it the Vahi because little children apparently cannot comprehend that word >Being deliberately vague about whether this means that it is a continuation or not Great job, Lego.
  17. Personally, without taking into account what is "likely" to happen, I simply want Makuta to be a "not actually bad" character, just to differentiate him from G1 Teridax.
  18. Ugh. I was entertaining a dream of purchasing two Keelerak along with Ehlek, to use as spare parts as was suggested... but the 2x5 connector piece Ehlek uses doesn't exist in that color in any other sets, which means there is no way to find a reliable replacement. RIP dream.
  19. No, sorry, I knew the problem was 2007. I meant, which pieces? Is it just the "hand" pieces, or does it extend to arms, the Technic non-joint lime green piece that is used as the set's backbone, etc?
  20. Hang on, do all the lime green pieces break? Or just specific joints?
  21. For various reasons of my own, I have recently decided that 8920 Ehlek, a set that I never really had much interest in before, from a year that I never really loved that much before, is a set that I want to add to my collection. I am reasonably certain that I would be able to find someone selling this online for a price that I would be willing to pay. I have, however, heard that Lime Green Bionicle joint pieces, especially in Ehlek and Hahli Mahri, tend to break of their own accord, even if they are not being used. I am not sure if it is worth getting this set if all the pieces are going to break, since I have neither the desire nor the ability to replace them with non-green equivalents. So, my question is, is the problem really as drastic as some people claim? Some background information on how I treat my sets... they are kept inside a cabinet, in a pile/stack/clump, folded to fit if necessary but not mangled into random arrangements, so I don't think there is much pressure on the joints. I never take them apart and only rarely take them out and pose them for a bit before putting them back in. I have never had a single piece break on me, even some like the 08 foot pieces that people claim break easily. Can anyone tell me whether they think that purchasing Ehlek would be a disappointment or not? Thank you!
  22. I really enjoyed reading that. I felt as if it perfectly captured the nonchalant, grey-line nature of Ancient's personality. You have my vote.
  23. HYPE TRAIN IS PICKING UP SPEED IT CANNOT BE STOPPED ... And here I was thinking that we would have to subsist on illegally leaked images for the next few months. Instead, it looks as if Lego is tossing us a bone!
  24. If he doesn't respond in another few days, you can quote yourself and say "I think you may have missed this". That's worked for a few people.
