I was thinking to myself "What would Titan Takanuva look like if his armor was back to gold again?" So following Vaal's Forge and Foundry http://www.odysseyhouseonline.com/VMFF_Main_Gate.html (albeit, not as well as he would do it) and I got this (btw, all the photos resolutions are too large, so everything is going to be linked, sorry): Before (sorry for the lighting): http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0043_zpsc72de47d.jpg and after: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0052_zpsf40ff560.jpg And the pieces that I recolored: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0046_zpsa4becffd.jpg Not impressive but I think that is more how Takanuva's armor is supposed to look like after he gets hit by the Klakk. (Sorry for the lack of dark gold like the older version.) I then thought to myelf, "Why not redo some of the armor on my character Tahrann?" So that's what I did (I know, he is pretty much just Tahu Nuva with a few different pieces): http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0056_zps37dbfe5f.jpg But at looking at him, I said "Meh, Nuva forms are so late 90's." So I bought a few pieces from Bricklink and recolored those (yes this is pretty much a recolor of Lhikan): http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0060_zpsc76f0b85.jpg And the armor, sorry for the resolution: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0059_zps07bbbf69.jpg Gotta admit, gold and red layering worked better than expected, though i thought a gold mask with a splash of red around the mouth would look a bit too... "intense". So nothing too exciting, but if yall ever wondered what a bit of spraypaint could do for you, then you could take something old and make it awesome. Edit: Tahrann 2.1: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0061_zpsf2517e81.jpg That's right, a Toa Nuva chest piece on Toa Metru body (thanks to this: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/229415) http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/minitahu/IMAG0062_zps8723815f.jpg The chest piece actually came out more red than intended. Mostly because after I had it perfect, my dad accidentally knocked it off of the work bench and took off a layer of the spraypaint, so... it's red.... But he looks every bit of the hero I intended him to be. A good question though, should I keep or do away with the sportscup codpiece? P.S. Buy Rustoleum, much better than Krylon. P.S.S. If yall are interested into a somewhat lore friendly backstory to my character, I'll type one out, but otherwise I'm too lazy.
