JayNinjaNuva
As we seen it, both ninjago and chima have 11 sets for next year first wave, and they might not hold two big theme together,so I think they may turn one of them in to small theme, and there might be at least 60% will be chima ,because ninjago is going to have a movie in 2016,which means ninjago may rise again!!!All hail the golden master
fishers64
I don't think Chima and Ninjago are competing with each other necessarily. I think the two can peaceably coexist, otherwise they would have scrapped one or the other by now. Also, I'm thinking that Chima aims for a younger target age than Ninjago does. In any event, ninjas probably appeal to a different group than the animal lovers who follow Chima. 1 Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories

But one thing I must say is I think the spinner sets are over (sad face ) and have been infact taken over by the Chima Speedorz as the social game in the LEGO world (even though the Speedorz don't sell well and are on clearance pretty much everywhere) so i think overall Chima and Ninjago are not related at all and can both stand as long as the majority of sets sell well Quote Go check out our Youtube channel! Since Chima seems to be stretching out the Fire vs. Ice theme at least until next summer, so it's entirely possible that after that the summer wave will be another big one that presents a new threat (whereas Ninjago's summer wave is likely to contain fewer, bigger sets like it normally does). Ninjago is going to be getting bigger again as it ramps up to the movie, no doubt—but I don't think Chima's going away just yet. Pohatu: Uniter of Stone
I sure hope this happens- I've preferred Ninjago over Chima since Chima came out. Quote I HATE SCORPIOS ~Pohatu Master of Stone, 2015
Banana Gunz
I don't see it completely overtaking Chima yet. It seems that Lego is testing how well Ninjago works in relation to Chima. They might want to see exactly how popular Ninjago is and if it really is so much more superior than Chima. I personally would have no problem with seeing Chima die. It's too flashy, the animal-human hybrid things (though I understand that they are completely animal) sound like a cheesy idea. Ninjago is a lot funner, and has ninjas. But Chima's just not my thing so I don't see any reason for it to go away yet, it seems popular enough with the kids.
