Nidhiki of the Shadows
So I created this while at University, so I had a pretty limited amount of sets. It is supposed to be a recreation of Trinuma from 2008, who was a combo model of Gali, Onua and Tahu Mistika. This is only made from Gali and Tahu 2015. My goal was to use a basic 2015 Master design and build on that in terms of armour, to make it look like a seamless part of the G2 line. Getting horns with the Tahu Mask is impossible, so I had the flames come up from behind to somewhat emulate that look. Also, he has a couple of different modes, like a 2015 Masters set would. Above is default mode. This is combat mode, which has a blaster and shield like in the original model. This is adrenaline mode, where his shield/harpoon becomes wings and his blaster becomes a flame sword. Of course, like all the Masters sets he does have a gear function. Makuta Miras
Although I understand about piece constraints, this really needs a lot more silver to feel like Trinuma, at least to me. I like the way of covering up the exposed balljoints on the chest, and I feel like the way of replicating the Mask of Charisma's horns is pretty inventive too, but it actually is possible to built them attached to the head by taking out the eyestalk, putting in one of the pieces that hold Gali's axeheads onto the stick and attaching the piece that holds Tahu's lavaboard together to that. Although it isn't very stable, it still gives you some type of horns. Other than that, I'd say this is an admirable effort, although it could do with a bit more blue. Good luck in the contest! Nidhiki of the Shadows
Thanks a lot! Yeah, in hindsight it probably could have used more silver. However, I didn't feel I had enough silver pieces at the time to create a well-distributed colour scheme so I opted for gunmetal grey. Interesting idea for the horns! If I decide to revamp this after the contest is over, I will definitely attempt that method of adding them. Thanks again for the feedback! -NotS
Everspark
I find it interesting how you used most of the 2015 counterparts of the three 2008 sets that Trinuma is made from. I think the legs are a bit thin, but overall it's a good work.
UnderscoreChronix
Cool, but needs more silver/grey.You also probably could have used parts from Onua to be more like the original.
Nidhiki of the Shadows
I would have done so, but I did not own Onua when I made this MoC. But yeah, I totally agree - it would have been more Trinuma-like with pieces from him. Thanks again! -NotS
