Authors Announced for LEGO Friends and Ninjago Graphic Novels

Recommended Posts

Titles for the new LEGO Bionicle, LEGO Friends, and LEGO Ninjago graphic novels are still pending, but Amazon.com has now listed authors for the latter two. LEGO Friends Graphic Novel #1 will be written by Olivia London, whose previous writing credits include young readers books based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and The Penguins of Madagascar. Meanwhile, LEGO Ninjago Graphic Novel #1 will be written by Greg Farshtey, familiar to BZPower members as the long-time writer of LEGO Bionicle and LEGO Ninjago chapter books and graphic novels. It's great to see that his authorship of the LEGO Ninjago graphic novels will be continuing in spite of the change in publishers.

I guess that means they're really pleased with what Greg's written if they want to keep him despite the switch.

Pretty sure that his Ninjago Graphic novels made some bestseller lists. Bestselling authors stay around.

I hope the new Ninjago 1 involves Season Four. It would be kind of lame if there weren't at least one of those comic books with Master Chen and the Anacondrai plot.

To all BIONICLE fanfiction writers - send me your work, I'd genuinely love to read it - especially canon compliant pieces. I'm always looking for more such material to read and to circulate with my friends.

Lloyd Garmadon is the one to die to kick off the dark a gritty story arc.

...I'm joking by the way.

I recognize that you're joking, but just wanted to make sure you're aware that Greg writing for Ninjago is nothing new. In fact, he wrote the original chapter books as well as every single graphic novel! "Dark and gritty" is far from Greg's only writing style, and in fact I'd argue that his more lighthearted fare written for themes like Ninjago and Legends of Chima might even be better.

I literally meant nothing serious in that post. I understand that completely. Only joking.
