Creative power usage

(but maybe in this world, it's kill or be killed....)

Nope. Just the internet and too much Avatar:TLA. The Toa Code specifically prohibits killing.

Fire: Defensive uses like burning projectiles is cool, but consider that you could knock someone out with heatstroke or burning away all the oxygen near them.

Water: could blind someone as well. Wrap a hollow sphere of water around their heads and suddenly they're looking through blur.

Air: Hand blasts? OK, how about fouling up enemy attacks or even trapping them under high winds?

I think the "Toa Code" was just Lego's way of trying to keep the heroic violence to a minimum. Heroes usually only kill as a last resort, and Lego wanted that so Toa are morally better than the villains.

The most notable kills by a good person were indirect.

  • Keetongu smashed Sidorak to oblivion with his fists since he is a Rahi
  • Takanuva affecting Tuyets "killed by a portal" because he tore off her Olmak but it was still the portal that killed her

stupid question.could a toa use their elemental power to supercharge a kanohi of the same elemental power, supposing masks like that exists?

Perhaps a Toa Hordika could do that with a Rhotuka spinner or one of their special tools.

No the tool is just a melee weapon and focusing point for their rhotuka. The hordika have weaker elemental powers since they can only manifest attacks in rhotuka form.

My favorite idea for kopaka is to super freeze his enemies inside out, turning them brittle as ice and weakening the protodermis enough that he can break his enemies easily with the next attack. Which denies them of being revived after Tahu melt the shards and dries up all moisture from it

The six Toa Hordika did as they were asked. Norik passed among them, gesturing for them to raise their tools and lightly touch the surface of [the Tower of Toa]. For an instant, their tools blazed to life, only to fade out again.

"What was that?" asked Nuju.

Iruni scampered away, picked up a rock, and threw it at the portcullis. Just before it struck the bars, bolts of fire and ice shot from the walls of the gateway and disintegrated the rock.

"Just as your tools can charge you Rhotuka spinners with greater elemental power," said Norik, "you can charge other physical objects as well. You will have to repeat it numerous times to maintain the charge, but while is has a portion of your power, it will be a formidable barrier."
