I'm sitting in the dark, back in the furthest corner of the stage, shrouded in black with laptop on my legs, its screen barely on. I'm covered in sawdust from the setwork that was done only two hours ago. The place smells rankly of paint and floor finish. To my left, other crew members sit with books in hand or laptops switched on, listening for cues, providing actors with their next props, and preparing anxoiusly for the next scene change. I quickly glance at the wooden doorplug that sits upsta
Just a note that the theatre's dress rehearsals, costume meetings and first performances will be taking my life (and my breath) away until next Sunday. I shall be very, very gone but having a good time doing it.
I apologize if PMs are not responded to until then, but life takes precedence over pleasure.
Have a good week, everyone!

Niki posted ART.
In GA of ALL PLACES.
Well it's not true-blue Bionicle, I'm sad to say. Human Bionicle. So like half-Bionicle.
But hey, it's ART!! In the ART FORUMS! 8D
It's the first time since whaaat... uh, like January? @_@;;;
And yes, I think Project Toa has come to a screeching halt. Thank life for that. No more asking me about it at the moment, please and thank you.

...when you get to draw all over your reports in full color.
(Text blurred for academic reasons)
English majors can enjoy science, thankyouverymuch.
It's the math that you won't get my approval on. Unless you can find some way to integrate lovely pictures into a Calculus exam.

Our designer is awesome. Even though we just started priming set and the show premiers a week from Thursday, it's still awesome.
(WE LOVE YOU MR. C)
Also the gray flat is very decieving when relating to the actual size of the stage. D:
(semi-better)
IT'S HUGEish.... well, the biggest stage I've ever been one.
Also I finally got to do something artistic and make corsages for costumes today! (also got to hem, but that's not nearly as fun xP)
Gweeee I love the theatre. It's aw
My phone was ringing this morning at like 5, it was ridiculous. I threw my pillow at it.
BUT wrong 'ring' for this entry:
Ring on the right is my class ring, which is purdy but is not important.
Ring on the left is my purity ring, one that my grandfather purchased for me when my original purity ring turned out to be too large. Got it at an antique store in central NJ - no real stones or gems or anything, very simple, only like 8 dollars - but I love it to death.
I misplaced it f
Well seems like Ohio is now recovering from Hurricane Ike (or what's left of it).
Our campus got hit with Category 1 hurricane-force winds on Sunday, knocking down branches and trees, ripping bushes from the ground, tearing shingles off roofs, and totally cutting all of the power for the whole city (as well as most of the state of OH - my family 1 hour away lost their power only two hours later, as well as the folks down in Cincinatti where 500,000 people were left in the dark). No rain, no l
Two new theology books complete with 6 new assignments on top of the two original = ugh
5-page critique = ugh
SCIENCE EXAM = UGH Dx
Stage running from 6-10 pm = yay : D
Not having time to study because of that = whyyyyyyy
The fact that all of the above are due/happening on Monday = annoying
Not being able to see my family due to theatre times =
Running out of Sour Patch Kids = :(
No cat = LONELY ;_;
Getting overwhelmed with homework within two hours = hahahahahaha
Knowing that this
*just got her first English rough of the year critiqued by the class*
Look look, the paper is in unity and flows and everyone understood it, but loooook at all the markings for Niki's awful grammar mistakes, incorrect subject-based contraction usage in formal writing (my fault, I'm lazy), usage of conjunctions to start sentences (again, I'm lazy ><) and incoherent placement of the thesis statement in the second-to-last paragraph rather than the first ("it ruined the whole narrative feel
Dealing with a sudden bought of seperation anxiety at the moment... bumping this entry accordingly.
I've watched the sunrise in your eyes
And I've seen the tears fall like the rain
You've seen me fight so brave and strong
You've held my hand when I'm afraid
We've watched the seasons come and go
We'll see them come and go again
But in winter's chill, or summer's breeze
One thing will not be changin'
We will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll s
I really really really despise not feeling well and having allergetic-like symptoms for days on end.
I really do not like it. At all.

My camera does not do this poor guy justice, man. It's sad.
I blame Smeag.
I blame 80's month.
I blame Wal-Mart having him on clearance.
...
I mostly blame Smeag.

Life is a little hard to swallow sometimes, y'know?
*sigh*
Well, due to some happenings here in Niki-land (plus a vacation weekend, WHOO), I will be very absent until after Labor Day. I wish I could say I would get some artwork done in that time, but maaaaaan stagecraft class has me booked. (Not complaining, oh no, stagecraft is an utter joy. =D It's just... 50 recommended hours of shop work (plus at least 3 backstage striking) in one semester = agh)
All you awesome staffies and member
I sat unmoving in my bedsheets this morning at 4:15 a.m.
Comprehending for many, many moments.
Trying to realize this something that I've been hoping and working and praying for... has finally happened.
Emotion overwhelmed me.
So, here in my dorm room amongst the covers, at 4:15 a.m., I finally closed my eyes, laid my head in my hands...
And I wept tears of joy.
