Hi, I'm Bfa, and I don't know a dang thing about coding. So I'm looking for someone to help me with something. I'm thinking of using an Arduino UNO in a project, and I would like to be able to use TouchOSC to control it from my iPod. The little snag that I'm hitting is that I have no idea how to even begin to do that. (Okay, that's a lie, I made a TouchOSC layout for the buttons and toggles and stuff. Remember how I painted my Alpha Trooper to look like Rainbow Dash? Well the paint job was awful and peeling so I sandblasted it off. I'm going to try doing it again. I'm also prepping my Retaliator-barrel-mounted Maverick amalgamation to get painted blue, because right now the barrel is blue and the Maverick is yellow and the epoxy is light grey and it doesn't flow together at all. I also did some sanding and a bit more resin work on the oh ho ho wait you guys don't know about that yet
Now I just have to learn how to use it. Though the current plan is that it'll just be outputting to LEDs at set intervals, so that shouldn't be too tough.
So while I'm at school, I work at the on-campus composites center. I will preface my comments by saying I sweep floors and wash windows, so I'm not really bragging about anything. The facility has gained defense contracts from the military, is engineering cutting-edge bridge designs using lightweight carbon fiber tubes, and was just recently awarded $90+ million in federal and private grants for their proposed offshore wind turbine design. And this is hanging in the lab. Doing it right.
Ordered a couple of Roughcuts on Tuesday (a friend and I pooled our orders) and they arrived today. I made a quick back sheath for mine, and plan to improve it later, but already it works decently. The blaster itself is excellent. It shoots everything but normal streamline darts, and the prime is nice, smooth, and easy. It's hard to slam fire it quickly, though, because of how the pump handle is set up. Ranges look impressive, and the way it functions is just all-around fun. Would recommen
So I ordered Breakout Bulk and a small batch from PaB yesterday. Bulk seems to be a decent set, but I was mainly interested in a few parts he had (and I figured I'd go for the whole set, because really most of his parts seem useful). The PaB order was for a small handful of miscellaneous SYSTEM pieces (what could I be building???), a few of the shorter HF bone pieces, and a couple extra large orange HF shells (what for, I wonder???). Evolution edition! I think the new towers look cool, but they don't fit as well as the old ones. Especially since there's been no acknowledgement of the change. Made this on a MLP server. Harvested the wool myself!
It's annoying but worth it for the pretty fireworks. I like the fireworks. They're pretty. And they go bang! Wheeeee! (I should've taken screenshots, oh well.)
Today is the Winter Solstice, the official beginning of winter and, for those of us in the northern hemisphere, the shortest day of the year. From here on, the amount of daylight will increase every day until the beginning of summer. Every day will be brighter than the last. I'd say that's worth celebrating.
