I'm -still- having a hard time believing that it actually happened. that finale is all I've been able to think about the last few days between the ending and the fact that it's actually over. I was actually starting to stress out about what the creators would have to say, which route they'd take - but yet again I was relieved with the messages they posted. Good series, good world, good people. Farewell to the coolest animated show since its predecessor.
Well, I beat Mass Effect 2. Took 30 hours. I failed Thane's loyalty mission (and was too stupid to reload and do it again) and got half my crew (Kelly, Gabby, Rupert...) killed. But hey, I beat it nonetheless! I also got my sister hooked on it (she's in love with Garrus completely) aswell, and I've now started a second playthrough with my same Shepard on normal instead of casual to pass the time while I wait for the first game to arrive in the mail. Most people seem to have forgotten the once-popular time-wasting activity of plastic model kit construction. My dad used to build them constantly back in the day, and he passed on the hobby to me over the years. I'e been doing it since I was 5, but obviously not with good results. I mostly like to do various spacecraft (usually from Star Trek), but I've also got some planes and cars done/waiting to be started. Just felt like having an entry dedicated to it, and to put some of my work on here;
these new sets look really awesome and I'm buying them all. I still have some gripes (gali's mask is still too evil looking for me but I am disliking it less with time, pohatu's feet boomerangs seem like an afterthought, onua's hulkness isn't doing it for me and neither is kopaka's bulk. I always saw him as being lean and mean... but oh well.) but overall I am very excited. It really surprises me how few of them/us like Star Trek. I mean, it's the show that, while not quite pioneering the genre, really opened up the possibilities. It even planted the seeds for a lot of the technology we actually use today, like sliding doors, cellphones and even the bridge schematics for navy vessels. Yet when I talk to other science fiction fans, and go through the list "Do you like Doctor Who? How about Star Wars? Firefly? Stargate?" They're pretty much all a resounding "yeah!"
So this here is my old self MOC (not really that old). After my influx of new old sets from my friend (as mentioned previously), I had an urge to rebuild a lot of stuff. I needed some parts off this guy for the Tarakava, but I loved him too much to destroy. So I modified him a bit. I don't know if it's better or worse, but I like it, so yeah. with more black mostly So any thoughts? Like the modifications? No likey? Also, I've got a brand new MOC that you should all check out. I can't even put my frustration with this show into words... every new episode that comes out makes me dislike it more. The potential is there, as it always was, for amazing things, but at literally every turn it's almost intentionally ruined. it's like every time there might be a redeeming moment moffat goes "lol fart joke" obviously there aren't (many) actual fart jokes but you get my point I hope gaaaaaaaaah

I have listened to this album a good six times already, and I am loving it. I don't know if I like it more than No World For Tomorrow, but it destroys Year Of The Black Rainbow brutally. Unfortunately the hard copy's not available here yet, but no matter. Also, just calling it now, Descension's gonna' be the better half. I just have a feeling.
