E-mail Blog Entry 8/5/09

Hurrah! It's my day to go to Disney! My dad should be picking me up...well, now - for E.P.C.O.T. E.P.C.O.T. is an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and houses the worlds largest geosphere. If you want more information, Google/Bing/Yahoo!/whatever search engine you use it.   My dad's still not here.   ...   Nope.   ...still not here.   Okay, he's still not here. I'm just going to wrap up this entry and send it. Until next time.

So, I'm home from E.P.C.O.T. Actually, I got home around 6 p.m. My dad and the co. were mostly uninterested in what I consider to be a great park. Alas.   Actually, this blog entry started an e-mail to remind myself to call Ding about a contact he has that fixes gaming consoles - the eject button on our Wii is broken. I'm not checking it tonight so that I can see it tomorrow and remember to call.   Sending...

Ugh. I really, really don't like television. It's great, occasionally, but I don't know how people plant themselves in front of their plasma TV and just stay there until the cows come home. It burns to even watch people do that. Mostly, I'm thinking of the co. and their ability to spend inordinate amounts of time watching television. My dad has two large televisions: One in his bedroom, and the other in his living room. That means that no matter where in the house I go (the apartment only has th

Woo! Just one week until school starts. My open house is on Thursday (8/20) from 2:15-4:45. I'm trying to get Ding over beforehand so we can work on our summer assignments, then walk over to the school together.   In other news, my mom is reconsidering getting me the G1. Her main reason is the price. The primary reason I want the phone is that it offers Internet access almost anywhere. However, that is the largest addition to the price tag. Adding my phone service, plus the upgrades she needs t

Tonight my uncle (alias U.J.), aunt (alias A.J.), and two cousins (female, age 5, alias Kay; male, age 1, alias T.J.) came over for dinner and cards. They have a mini hot dog maker like those you sometimes see in convenience stores - the ones that turn the wieners on metal poles - that make good hot dogs. The main event, however, was playing cards. Since underage gambling is illegal in the U.S., my family uses candy to bet with. Since we had so many people today, we had a variety: Mike & Ike

The co. left yesterday. Only one of us kids could accompany them to the airport, and my brother went while I had Ding over between noon and about 4:30.   I also rented Metroid Prime 3: Corruption yesterday, and it's a pretty good game. I really like Metroid, for those who don't know.   Anyway, Ding's coming over again today at noon. That's about ten minutes, so I'll send this now.

Shortly after Ding left, my brother invited another friend of mine (well, actually, he was originally my friend but is now more my brother's friend). His alias shall be Cheese, based off his name as with all other aliases here.   ...   That's all for now, I guess.

Ugh. Pahrak-Kal is proving to be an incredible pain to take pictures of. I'm trying to increase the quality of my photography, which for me involves creating a plain white background instead of going through the pains of editing one in. Pahrak-Kal's size is making this very difficult; if I try to shoot it from an angle other than head-on, I get a nice shot of it against my kitchen cabinets instead of the white sheet I set up.   Anyway, my goal for today is to get pictures of Pahrak-Kal and star

Ah, the first day of August! For myself and most in my area, August heralds the return to school, set this year on August 25. That means I only have 24 days and the rest of today to finish all of my summer reading assignments. I have assignments from two classes: English II Honors and AP World History. For English, I must read A Lesson Before Dying, which I finished earlier today and really don't like very much. After reading the book, I am to take notes and answer questions about the book on 5x

Time for another blog update. Yesterday, my grandmother picked me up to look at her computer, which wasn't connecting to the internet. After my brother and I couldn't find anything wrong with it, my grandmother took us to Lucky Buffet, an excellent local Chinese buffet. After a quick stop by a thrift shop, which yielded only a book for my brother, we were dropped off at the University of Tampa, where I was to find information concerning campus tours and explore the campus in an effort to discove

This is the first time I've made a second entry in the same day while using the e-mail blogging system, but I thought that this merited another entry. I just got back to my mom's house and Pahrak-Kal. I just tried transforming him for the first time, and the results were...mixed. On one hand, he transforms! Woo. The first time he has transformed as a cohesive piece. On the other hand, he needs some serious improvements. The three major improvements that need to be made to the transforming proces

This morning I woke up at ten after seven and went to the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom, I looked in my mom's room.   She was still in there.   My mom is supposed to leave at seven in the morning for a workshop at eight.   Following my waking her up was a short fiasco involving my mom getting ready at top speed and making several phone calls - one to my uncle, from whom she learned that I would not be able to attend the psychology class with him, and the other to my grandmother to conf

So much for 'until tomorrow.' Here's the update:   Sunday (July 26) was mostly uneventful. On Monday (July 27), my mom and dad traded cars so that everyone (me, my dad, my siblings, and the co.) could go to Busch Gardens, a local theme park with roller coasters and animals. Teusday (July 28) contained several events. First, I built a prototype body for Pahrak Kal, which was torn down shortly thereafter because it didn't allow for the unique requirements of the arm. Then, later in the day, we fo

Wow. I've missed a few days. I'll sum it up:   Thursday (July 23): On Thursday, I made an amazing discovery: My county has a public transportation system. It's brand-new. I don't know about anyone reading this, but this is the first effective public transportation in my area, and it's pretty cool. For the small price of a 20-minute walk and $1.75, I can get to the mall, the movie theater and anywhere nearby.I may be able to eliminate the 20-minute walk, but it would mean paying another $1.75 be

Right. Remember that Gelu review I posted this morning? I came on the BZPower this afternoon and found the official Gelu review waiting on the front page.   So, today I went with my relatives to M.O.S.I. We had fun. That's pretty much all for today. Later we're playing tennis (me, my mom, and my siblings).

Realizing that BZP could be offline for a great deal of time, I have decided to begin blogging by sending myself e-mails containing blog entries. These e-mails, once BZPower is back online, will be posted on my blog as entries.   And my, did I pick an excellent time to begin blogging this way. First you must know that my father is originally from India, but has extended family all over the world, including (but not limited to) London, Dubai, and America. Well, yesterday at approximately five o'

Dilemma

I am currently facing a dilemma. I became a one-year Premier Member on BZP in early January of this year. That means my membership is almost used up. The dilemma I face is whether to continue being a Premier Member and keep up with this blog. This is all tied into the greater question of what to do with myself in terms of Bionicle and Lego. You see, unlike many here, I was not a big Lego fan prior to my interest obsession with Bionicle. The end of the Bionicle line has presented me with the diff

For, indeed, today was my first day back to school after a relaxing, highly enjoyable winter break. Let me acquaint you with my schedule:   My day is divided into eight fifty-minute periods, with six-minute passing periods between them. The very first bell rings at 7:26 a.m. and the last at 3:00

Contest Results

The winner was Kelly Park. I'm disappointed that it wasn't Typhoon Lagoon, but I'm not complaining too much; Kelly Park seems like a really cool place.   The next theme is to pick the coolest place or activity that begins with Q, X, or Z. If anyone has any ideas for this, shoot them my way.

Contest

The contest has been narrowed down to four entries based on popular vote:   -Kelly Park, a tubing adventure with rock climbing on the side. -Segway riding, 'nuff said. -Go-Kart Racing, again, 'nuff said. -And yes, Typhoon Lagoon made it into the top four.   The votes are all in, but my mother has ultimate power over the winner. The results will be announced within the hour. I hope it's Typhoon Lagoon, but I wouldn't mind Kelly Park (one of my brother's entries).

Christmas Gift List

I just finalized my budget for Christmas gifts this year, and my total came to $55. From this amount of cash I must provide gifts for each of the 11 people listed below. Basic math will tell you that this restricts each person's individual gift budget to $5, IF I distribute evenly. Here I will keep a record of gifts planned for each person, as well as the cost of their gift. Suggestions are welcome. Christmas Entry!

Merry Christmas!   As expected, my gift count was way down this year. However, in light of my laptop (half the reason the count was low), that's 100% okay. For those who are wondering, here's the actual list: Laptop bag $25 Barnes & Noble gift card Stocking candy (of course) Any 20 pieces from my brother's Bionicle collection $5 We had breakfast (bacon, pancakes, and eggs mixed with sausage) here, then went over to my grandmother's house around 11 for an early lunch. Since Ding and my grand
