Hello, BZPower! Yes, this is a building contest! Yes, there are cool prizes! No, you do not necessarily have to be someone who owns at building like Darth Vader to win!

The idea is to build something, anything, that is directly inspired by a song which, in your honest, heartfelt opinion, fits the definition of a "golden oldie." So not a song from the '00s, not a song from the '90s, but, I have arbitrarily decided, any song from before 199

About a year and a half ago, I drew this mask.

After recently reading bonesiii's blog entry Vector Art In Powerpoint: Quality, Inexpensive, Easy with great interest, I felt inspired to try my hand at transforming my sketch into a professional-quality image.
I wasn't content to use Powerpoint exclusively. For one thing, the Office gradient tool is extremely limited in functionality. Since I own a copy of PhotoShop Elements 2.0

My girlfriend and I got engaged.
I proposed on the 24th and we celebrated on the 31st with a Finnish-style engagement party.
We both got rings.

I just finished my Toa Tuyet Dark Mirror version WIP and I think it's quite pretty -- but I'm loath to post it because the forearms and hands aren't yet available in the colour they're supposed to be (medium blue). Should I wait until Kiina is released, or do you want to see pictures now, with placeholder parts?
Dark Mirror Nidhiki is also basically done, so I would be posting him at the same time.

I came up with this 13-sided shape today. It's very strong; when it's complete, you'll be able to throw it around and not have it bend out of shape at all.
I'm picturing a purple-and-black flying saucer.

It's the Phantoka commercial song, Gravity Hurts. None of the previous songs officially linked with Bionicle have been close to this good, in my opinion. I've probably listened to this song twenty times in two days. It's a powerful anthem, I think, with a powerful message, if you know how to listen. And, boy, those vocals are really something, not to mention the artistry on drums, keyboard and guitar.

I figured out this new way to make use of the Hordika upper arm as a torso. Also, the spikes on the arms turned out well.
Simple but cute. Uses the same torso construction as the original BC-Matoran. Headgear rather reminiscent of the psychic sisterhood in the movie Dune.
Avoid exposure to all glowing LCD displays, including computer monitors and cell phones, for two hours before going to bed in the evening. The light from these displays suppresses and disrupts your body's production of melatonin, the "sleep hormone."
I wish I'd known this a long time ago. It also explains why it's possible to stay up all night in front of the computer and not feel sleepy, merely sleep-deprived.
