Well, I haven't been on this website in almost a year, and I haven't been on this blog in almost two years. All of the people I know from this place are probably gone. Well, LOL I guess?
I seriously haven't posted in this blog for almost two months. This needs a MAXIMUM OVERHAUL. I'm just imagining that being said in a voice similar to Optimus Prime's, a deep gravelly mechanical voice. You know what I'm talking about? Anyway, I'm changing the theme, I'm changing everything. To what, I don't know, but I will change it. I am determined...to be a model of determination. If that makes any sense. Yes/no/maybe/am I crazy? I guess this means I'm becoming more active again, I'm not su
How many of you guys would like to see coverage of Brickworld Chicago? This would include pictures and descriptions (they may not be so in-depth, but I'll try) of the workshops and presentations I attended. I'll also list the awards as well. So just drop a comment if you would like to see pics and stuff. -CM
And I am totally psyched! I touched down in Chicago this afternoon and am staying at my relative's place, which is conveniently located just under 10 minutes away from the convention center! If anyone else is going to be there, let me know so I can see you guys for the next couple of days! -CM (also no color because I'm blogging from my iPad )
Brad Borne just released his Fancy Pants World 3, and I must say, it's quite good. The physics engine is really nice, and it's hard to believe the guy made the whole thing with Actionscript 2.0. The last version of Actionscript. The bad one. Anyway, for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, check it out! You can get there by using this little thing that lives in the corner of your very own browser window: Google. For those of you who have already been playing Fancy Pants, there
I went to see the rerelease of Titanic, and I can say one thing: The 3D did nothing. Yes, the $18,000,000 that James Cameron spent on the 3D was not worth anything in the slightest. I hope he makes back that money, because if not...I'll leave it at that. -CM
I've recently taken up a new hobby/interest/activity/whatever you're in the mood to call it, and that is Geocaching. For those of you who don't know the details (and basics, for that matter), Geocaching is a worldwide scavenger-hunt type game where people leave hidden "Caches" around the globe. Your job is to find these Caches, and when you have, to log the date and your screen name on the paper log inside the cache, and leave more in-depth comments on the website affiliated with the game when y
CM ON THE INTERWEBS!!!! I think that's enough internet for today, time to go back to life. (loljk) But still, in all seriousness, I am back on BZPower. I had taken a leave for a while because I was doing other things and I didn't put BZPower at the top of my list (it's a felony, I know). I'll be back on now, but I won't be on nearly as much as I used to be. Just thought you all should know. (Haha see what I did there with the HP reference) -CM
So I've been doing some stuff. I decided to start learning Javascript, mainly because it's useful and it's also pretty fun to code. I'm not very advanced yet, but the concepts seem easy enough, and I've found that the more I practice, the more fluid I become. I've built up a knowledge of the syntax fairly quickly, in my opinion, but there's still a lot of code that I have to learn. All in all, I can make simple programs that take a set of variables (usually applicable to real life), manipulat
are about twice as springy if you soak them with water. I went to my friend's house with two other guys and we sprayed his trampoline with a hose. We then proceeded to bounce nearly twice as high as we previously had. I don't think I'll ever be able to go on a dry trampoline again. -CM
... my mind has been blown 20 thousand times over But in all seriousness, it is a very funny and interesting story, and it is also the reason I have pretty much disappeared from BZPower for the past week. I have become slightly obsessed with the zodiac after reading it for so long, but I doubt my fascination will last for very long as it is. At any rate, I bought a transparent turquoise D20 which I have been using as a means of determining the probability in percent of a certai
I'm trying to write a somewhat depressing story. I also have a soft purring cat sitting on top of me. CM => Depressing Stories CM + Writing + Time = Depressing Story CM + Writing + Time + Soft Purring Cat ≠ Depressing Story And there's my fun fact for the day.
Bandwagon entry is bandwagon Wish List: Any Hero Factory Set (because I haven't gotten barely any) iPad 2 (this is the big one here ) A hoodie from Redbubble Something awesome from Think Geek (I don't quite know what yet) Metroid: Other M Hayao Miyazaki movies to complete my collection: The Cat Returns Porco Rosso And that's it. -CM
So... I got Mylo Xyloto, Coldplay's new album today, and I have to say I really like it. First of all, if you listen to it all in a row, it tells the story of two lovers through the songs. Another cool perk about listening to it as an album is the fact that there are three "interlude" songs, each of about 40 seconds, that serves to break up the story and provide transitions. My favorite songs on the album, however, are songs 3 and 4, Paradise and Charlie Brown. I believe summarize the more su
So, I went to this little store today because my mom needed to look for some nice paper for holiday cards, and I found out that it had all this awesome stuff like duck headphones, finger tentacles and a weekly mustache set. Unfortunately, I didn't have any money with me so I wasn't able to buy anything, but I will definitely return there in the near future and get something, probably the duck headphones. Just because everyone wants to have a pair of ducks sticking out of their ears. -CM
Well, since the forums have been revamped, I figured I might follow the theme and give my blog a revamp as well. Plus, I don't like its theme now. Any suggestions? I'll probably disregard them all, but it wouldn't hurt. EDIT: I've decided to keep the blog the same. -CM
Just... wow. They're finally back. And they're new. And they're spiffy. And they're sleek. (and it took me quite a bit of time to find my blog but that's besides the point) I just want to say... THEY'RE BACK YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY Okay, I'm done. -CM
So, first off, I posted a MoC. It's not exactly new, in fact I've had it sitting around for a month or two, but just now I finally decided to get the pictures up. Here is a link to the topic.
Secondly, I went to my local Renaissance Fair for the majority of today. Mostly because my family's not religious, and we had no plans. I have to say it was really fun. I was in costume, and it was a lot better that way. I think it lets you feel more involved in the fair itself. The games were fun, and
Just got finished. It turns out I got an honorable mention in my category, and will participate in the science fair if the first three people and two more after that aren't able to go.
