The complaints about 2015

I've seen a few complaints about how 2015 'isn't BIONICLE', and I just have to wonder...   Who are you to say what is and isn't BIONICLE? If you came in at 2006 - and never experienced 2001-2003 or 2004-2005 - and they happened later on instead - would you say they're 'not BIONICLE' because they have a different feel to them? BIONICLE in 2001 was very different to BIONICLE in 2010. If you took out Tahu, Mata Nui, and Makuta, three names prominent since 2001 out of 2010, would you even be able to

The Clown Rap

I once wrote a Clown rap in an attempt to make a rap worse than the Piraka rap.   it was about twice as nonsensical and much worse. I asked Portal.gif, and I recall he said I succeeded in making a pretty bad rap. At the time we had realised just how little sense the Piraka rap's lyrics made, and me, having recently talked about clowns, was spurred into making a clown rap to mock the Piraka rap which kind of failed as it was much worse.   If only I had save it to a file.   If only I could recreat

Telephones

What if telephones could talk to us?   Not through other people's messages, but of their own volition? What if they could plot to make you miss important calls and prevent you from being able to make calls? What if they could play some sort of noise that slowly killed you? What if they could manipulate humans into doing their evil work? What if they could pretend to be other people by splicing together previous calls to create a new, dubious call? Darth Vader

These new SW CCBS sets are HUGE. Well, Darth Vader is, anyway.   On the plus side, we finally see the longest CCBS bone make a reappearance, the first since Black Phantom, I think. Also surprised to learn that the lower leg 'add-on' is a shell, not an add-on. I guess it works for the longer bones better than the usual shells, though. Not sure what's up with the gunmetal when some of the pieces are already in the set in black. Armour pieces on the sides are a bit of an illegal connection since t

The New Forum Theme

The BZPower Staff did a good job with this theme.   It helps remind me of BZP's pre-super-long-downtime days, more so than the default theme does. I think BZPower has almost completely recovered from it, although there is still the problem of the hot topics list and member spotlight being practically non-existent.

Stupidester Question

What if the Toa's weapons aren't being wielded by the Toa, and instead the weapons were wielding the 'Toa'? As if we had mistaken the red weapon Tahu wields as 'Tahu' when in reality Tahu's actually those two surfboard swordy things.

Has anyone else ever come across a page they didn't know existed until they found it? Within BZPower, of course. Maybe outside of BZPower.   It seems like the status updates page could easily fit that description, at least for me: you don't know it exists until you find it.   Pretty sure the bubblewrap page hasn't ceased to exist yet - still around, newer members might know of its existence.   Any other pages that we might not know exist? YAY BIONICLE

BIONICLE's now available here in the UK! yay BIOLONICALS   Ordered Tahu and Pohatu. Inane thought: Pohatu rearranged is Potahu. This obviously means Pohatu is Tahu.   THOUGHTS BASED ON LOOKING AT IMAGES FOR FIVE SECONDS:   PROTECTOR OF FIRE: Fiery here would be good if it were not for the fact that his limbs, shoulders, and choice of weapons look really stupid.   PROTECTOR OF STONE: Stoney has a really nice spear-gun thing which begs the question: why does it have a gun on it? Nice asymmetry too

People still think there's a possibility LEGO will abandon CCBS to go back to the old BIONICLE parts, because 'CCBS is not BIONICLE, it's Hero Factory' or something like that   I doubt LEGO will ever abandon CCBS considering how much it probably cost to completely overhaul constraction between 2010/2011

2015 speculation

Something a bit concerning about G2

I just got the LEGO Catalogue in the mail, and in it, only half of the 2016 Wave One sets are represented.   Pohatu, Tahu, Kopaka & Melum, Umarak, Ketar, and Ikir are the only ones shown in the catalogue. Lewa, Uxar, Onua, Terak, Gali, and Akida are missing.   I'm not sure what this says except I find it worrying for some reason.   Also, apparently Umarak 'Stands over 28cm tall!' and the three toa displayed stand in the area of 21-23cm tall. Confidence

If there's one thing I've always lacked, it's confidence. That's not a bad thing despite what some will say.   Yet apparently, lack of confidence is a problem. When someone is confident and does good, it's 'determination'. When someone is confident and does bad, it's 'arrogance'.   I'd much rather doubt myself than be arrogant any day.
