Remember on the old forums that you could put a short description below a title, instead of tags?   I kind of miss that, even though I don't start topics much.   Also, kinda wondering, why some parts of the Star Wars EU excluded from being made non-canon? Was it one of those weird Star Wars things where everything has to be slightly more complicated and if they made the things non-canon we wouldn't know the incredibly important backstory of Background Extra #353256, also known as 'Evi L'badgi'?

These new SW CCBS sets are HUGE. Well, Darth Vader is, anyway.   On the plus side, we finally see the longest CCBS bone make a reappearance, the first since Black Phantom, I think. Also surprised to learn that the lower leg 'add-on' is a shell, not an add-on. I guess it works for the longer bones better than the usual shells, though. Missing the point.

Just saw a comment lamenting the fact that BIONICLE waves 'no longer' introduce a ton of new pieces.   I'm sorry, did you miss the entire second half of G1 BIONICLE?!   Furthermore, when LEGO is a creative building toy, creating a ton of overspecialised pieces every wave generally doesn't look very good. Also, I can't imagine how much of the budget would've been wasted on new pieces in the years 2001-2006. Creating new pieces instead of using old pieces in new ways is kinda missing the point.

BRILLIANT IDEA

The next BONKLE vehicle set should be a segway which transforms into a giant 2-handed hammer for its driverwielder.   Also, it should be made of Inika torsos. Also, it's for Skull Scorpio.   Scorpions on segways. Actually, you know what?   Instead of Skull Scorpio, there should have been..   Skull Segway.

SW CCBS, AND A QUESTION!

Wow. It's really popular. Three out of six sets are already sold out according to LEGO, and it's only been two weeks. Grievous is one of them, and that's the most expensive set of the wave.   That didn't happen to BIONICLE G2.   I do have to wonder, though - in the past year we've gained three new shell attachments, which, as far as I am aware, is more than 2013+2014 combined. The piston add-on, the skull add-on, and that 'shoulderpad' add-on the SW sets use. That's three. Let's add the common

Why are about 50%-65% of the names of Star Wars characters so bad?   Especially in the prequels.   If there's one thing that the sequel trilogy can do to make it better than the prequels, it's make the prequels non-canon in Star Wars.

Skull Basher

Its bashing function is a bit... wonky. Not as well done as Dragon Bolt's wings, which are done in a similar manner.   Not to mention the axes often collide with either each other or Skull Basher's horns quite a bit. It's not really a bashing function. More like 'Skull Clapper', if you ask me.   Still, Skull Basher pulls off transparent purple + solid purple + transparent orange + gunmetal really well. Purple goes surprisingly well with transparent orange - way better than most other colours IM

A Musing

What if Star Wars eclipses BIONICLE as the 'main' CCBS theme?   I mean, the licensing fees and the extra CCBS sets have gotta cut into BIONICLE's budget somewhat, haven't they? I can't really see BIONICLE lasting later than 2018 if Star Wars CCBS sells well, since it'll take priority. And from what I've seen, in the past few days alone Star Wars CCBS has sold very well in its first five days.

CCBStar Wars

Wow, those Star Wars figures are tall.   And the larger ones are really well designed.   Skull Scorpio's designer, how do you defend yourself?   Maybe it's just me but after seeing some of the better SW figures (pretty much every set that isn't Luke), I'm thinking that the BIONICLE set designers need to step up their game. Tahu looks gappy and awkward by comparison and IMO Tahu was one of the better bonkle sets of the first wave.

The Mask of Creation + Unrelated Question

Is it just me, or is it a little too big for Ekimu's head? Ekimu can hardly move his head with the Mask of Creation, and the gold-blue protector mask doesn't while also fitting the colour scheme better.   Has anyone ever attempted to put gearboxes on a gearbox that turns the aforementioned gearboxes, and these gearboxes that are turning have their own gear function?

Bonkle set thoughts

Skull Grinder looks good from the front and the back, but the sides... could definitely be improved. Pulls off the skull theme as well as Warrior does while still feeling decently tall. In fact, feels taller than Tahu does, even if they are the same-ish height. Probably due to the skeleton stuff.   Ekimu is, as everyone knows, a protector with a gearbox. Specifically, a gold and trans-blue Protector of Fire with a gearbox. Except with lower arms this time. And infinitely nicer to look at. Colou

Stupidester Question

What if the Toa's weapons aren't being wielded by the Toa, and instead the weapons were wielding the 'Toa'? As if we had mistaken the red weapon Tahu wields as 'Tahu' when in reality Tahu's actually those two surfboard swordy things.
