Last night I went to an information session at TAFE, at the campus I'll be doing my next course. I was the only student who attended! :/ I guess that's what happens when you only get 6 hours notice... The session went anyway, revealing that my course is now a dual award: Cert IV in Digital Interactive Games, and Cert IV in Digital Media Technologies! This means I can get 2 qualifications at the same price if I want to. Plus, the dual award course has a lot in common with the Websites course
So, we were having a break during my first TAFE class yesterday, when suddenly the power went out! When it came back on with a generator, the alarm sounded! We didn't evacuate at that point, but we were eventually told what had happened: the surrounding area had a power outage! The primary generator couldn't be fixed within the day, so to preserve energy, the entire campus was soon evacuated and we had the rest of the day off.
So, because of TAFE and an upcoming public holiday, I get 5 consecutive days off TAFE! Friday (when I did my driving test) was a normal timetable day off TAFE for me anyway, Saturday and Sunday were the weekend, Tuesday we get off because of Melbourne Cup Day, and Monday the TAFE gave us off because of Cup Day. After that we only get 2 days of TAFE, and then 3 days off for a normal long weekend. Then things go back to normal (kind of; watch this space).
So, today I went down the Sandringham line for my nostalgia trip. The first thing I did was stop at Elsternwick and watch the Puss In Boots movie. The movie's story was great, however it had no ties whatsoever with the Shrek series it spawned from. Afterwards I went next door to have lunch, but it was closed! So, I took the train to the city (going down my line is getting staler every time I do it), and then met all my friends at the EBGames in Melbourne. As always, we went inside and started playing Pokemon together, and tried out some of the games they had on display at the Nintendo Experience upstairs. I was able to win every battle I participated in (which was actually quite a few), except one multi battle (where two people battle against two other people). The champion of the recent tournament

I just came back from an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Normally when I go there I have 3 or 4 dishes, plus desert. This time however, I could only manage 2 and desert. It's common for a growing teen to eat heaps, but I'm beginning to think that phase is now behind me... *starts feeling old*
My mother said to me yesterday that I need to sign up for the Games course I wanted to do at TAFE. That means she has given the all-clear to keep studying! I'll get to work on it this afternoon once I finish that assignment.
In my 100th entry, I mentioned that I have very little left to do to pass my TAFE course his year. Because of that, I am VERY motivated to get the tasks done, because I am highly confident! And yet here I am on BZPower... :/ *gets back to work*
I'd love to see skeletons that are the size of Skrall, armed with a variety of weapons, like swords, bows and magical staffs. I'd also love to see a lich (which is an undead sorcerer and leader of an undead army/society) that's about the size of Tuma. And to think I was afraid of skeletons over a decade ago...
I finally got my Commander Keen 5 level editor working so I can create my own custom maps! So far all I've done is change the original so nearly all enemies are replaced with Shikadi and Shikadi Mines, and I added a Shikadi Master to every level.
