I have a new teach for Spanish 6, and I'm very optimistic about the class in general. Still, that moment when you realize you've misinterpreted an article entirely halfway through you page-long Spanish analysis of it is devastating. (It's also hard to work on this and all the other IB assignments while so hyped for Bionicle, Smash, Pokemon remakes, Mario Kart DLC, etc.)
Nintendo, you release far too few soundtracks, and I wish those you did release were more easily available. Would it be that hard to post all the soundtracks on iTunes? Here's to appreciating the soundtracks, Nintendo or otherwise, that are available, and how awesome they are. I own, from eBay, the Japanese Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Super Mario Galaxy soundtracks. My fave is probably Majora's Mask for pure addictive tunes, although Galaxy has a wondrous, different type
Just finished re-sorting my collection. For the first time I have my system sorted- it was sorted by color with the Bionicle bits before, but now it's actually helpful. I have maybe 30 families of particularly useful bits sorted by shape and the rest by color. Black and dark and light grey and bley are sub-sorted into standard brick, standard plates, standard tiles, standard slopes, and other. I never really realized how many nifty system bits I had going to waste in the chaos of my collect
My cousins gave me their copy of Twilight Princess for Wii, so I'm afraid that's drawing me away from the Metroid fest I would have had. Eh, I was stuck anyway. The best part is, we have officially missed the entire exam week due to snow, so I can actually play some Zelda! Also the Wii controls are pretty OK, except Midna's voice coming through the remote is really annoying. Also I keep getting lost because of the mirrored world. Also SAT tomorrow.
every morning a MacGyver-style title sequence montage of your greatest moments flashed before your eyes, complete with epic music and your name overlaid on a huge explosion?
Man, it was good. Not that I couldn't nitpick, but it was just fantastic. The references, the humor, the LEGO, the LEGO, the plot, the message, the everything. Go see this movie. As a Lego fan it was everything I could want in a Lego movie.
So I'm piecing together my pre-experiment paperwork and introduction for my science fair/extended essay project. It's the fourth year of continuation of a project researching torque joints in carpentry, and I need to do some research on failure modes of wood joints, mostly mechanical stuff, no moisture or combustion caused failures. I particularly need scholarly sources pertaining to nail joints and torque-withstanding joints. So... Anybody just so happen to know of some relevant scholarly a
60 coins from Platinum in Club Nintendo. I'm pretty far from any worthwhile physical prizes, which makes me really sad. I was really hoping that my backlog of Club Nintendo points would net me that Majora's Mask Jigsaw Puzzle or some posters. Turns out that several of the cards have expired. I guess I can get a downloadable title or two? Nothing really jumps out at me.
Log Entry 3: No no nonononono What It was going so well Things stared out OK. Sure, I accidentally killed my first encounter on Route 6, and then accidentally killed the Snorlax of Route 7, but I had an excess of Smeargles anyway, right? And Route 7 was fun! The riverside, the artists, the Smeargle-obsessed NPCs, hilarious 4-Smeargle double battles, great moves to sketch. Even a field move! I had despaired of ever learning Rock Smash, since Smeargle can't learn TMs or HMs. Connec
Playing Pokemon was, tragically, not a priority for this last week. But there has been progress! New Smeargle's names are in bold, as are new moves. Log Entry 2: I'm realizing now that perhaps the greatest challenge of this Nuzlocke will be finding good moves to Sketch. They're there, I know, but I'm not going to use outside resources to plan out movesets, save for my memories of previous XY runthroughs. (Get hype for someone to sketch Oblivion Wing!) No, I'm finding moves the hard way.
I'm sure someone's done it before, but I'm ditching my Nuzlocke in favor of a more interesting Smearglelocke of my own design. Nuzlocke rules, but every time I catch a Pokemon, I must immediately trade it for a level 10 or below Smeargle. Smeargle only learns Sketch. Once Smeargle uses Sketch to copy a move, he only learns Sketch again every ten levels. So, unless I make it to the move relearner with super low-level 'mons, no one on my team will even know four moves until level 31. These a
SMASH KIRBY AIRRIDE Greninja looks a little odd but GRENINJA! Such a good Pokemon, my first ever, so good! All of the character movesets look amazing! Mega evolutions! HYPE
Anyone else jump with left trigger and grab with X? No? Because if you accidentally use default controls after getting used to your custom controls, and every time you try to double-jump you airdodge... It's bad.
I'm excited to get more characters, no matter who, just to enjoy Smash with them. That said, I'm pretty meh about Bayonetta and Corrin. I'm not a huge fan of either franchise. Both new characters look like the most visually extravagant thus far, so that's cool. I'm not that into Mii Fighters, but excellent new costumes. I know a lot of people will enjoy Geno, Knuckles, and Tails. Well done, Sakurai. That was a fitting send-off.
I really like the Classic mode. Smash Run is fun but annoying. Maybe if I used faster characters I would enjoy it more. I haven't tried out many of the characters, but thus far Pac-Man is my clear favorite, though I do enjoy Charizard and Toon Link as well. Pac-Man's side special is incredibly satisfying to KO with.
They've really improved the graphics! They've got an opening cinematic, Fox has his reflector, and his up-B is nicer-looking! And most importantly, ledge-grabbing! Also Corrin and Bayonetta are out but I can't mess with them 'til the weekend.
THE PRESENTATION JUST KEPT GETTING BETTER There is going to be so much content in this game it almost makes me sad, because I can't no-life it for a month like I would want to. Also I'm more excited that Yoshi Circuit from Mario Kart: Double Dash is in the first DLC pack for MK8 than I am about Mewtwo. But Mewtwo is pretty neat, too, especially for someone who's buying both versions anyway.
I just traded my only shiny- a Geodude that I randomly received in a trade- for a Terakion. Is this a good or bad trade? I'm really not up to snuff on my Pokemon values.
The best Legend of Zelda character. Well... Guru-Guru come close. But I relate to Shad so much, and adore his character design. Anywho I changed my profile pic, which gives me a grand total of one pic change and one name change in the seven years I've been here. All ya hooligans with your name contests every month give me vertigo.
I just realized that Summer Games Done Quick is really close. The bad news is that I'll be away from the computer for almost all of it, including an LoZ Oracle speedrun, a Four Swords speedrun, and worse of all, a Skyward Sword speedrun! Auhgggg! The good news is that I'll be back just in time to watch the ALTTP and ALBW speedruns! Anyone else hype? I always look forward to these things every year!
