The Kindle Fire...

Okay, so I got a Kindle Fire in the mail this morning, and I`ve been testing out for most of the day. (Day off work, whoo!)   So far everything seems to be running smoothly. Netflix is fantastic (it is wonderful to be able to point and click to edit subtitle and audio options while the video is running, and it loads really quickly when browsing through the video).   I also got a bluetooth keyboard, which is very tiny. While it does make me feel like a giant, my cat has so far stepped around t

If you ever need to talk...

I'm here for you. For anything.   I can't guarantee I'll be much help.   I can't guarantee I can relate perfectly.   Every situation is different.   However, I know what it's like to be troubled.   You don't have to go through it alone.

Virtue's Last Reward

How to play this game: For all initial choices, ally for everything like a total sap.   Once that's over with, get revenge on all of those punks who betrayed you in the previous timelines.   Dio is the worst.   GET OFF MY LAWN! ~Tekulo <3

Guardians of the Kajigger

So my mom and my brother KK abandoned me for Disney World this week (because I have a job and didn't want to take off), so my dad decided to see Kajiggers of the Galaxy.   We stopped at a Red Robin first for lunch, and decided on a later showing because we figured we wouldn't make it for the 1:10 showing. They had bottomless rootbeer floats. Bottomless rootbeer floats. Quick note: That is my favorite of all the beverages. Another note: They were made with Barq's rootbeer and soft-serve i

MLK

So, I didn't really see anyone else blogging about this, but today is Martin Luther King Jr Day. I hope everyone at least takes a moment to either do some research or partake in some quiet contemplation today.   MLK Wiki   Eh, maybe not the best place to start some research, but I'm none too well-versed in history, so I don't have too many tried and true online resources. If anyone does have some good resources about today, I'd love to check it out! In the meantime, I should prolly check the

Thoughts on being closeted.

Many people appear to be talking about queer issues and gender issues these days. From what I have noticed, not many of them appear to know what they're talking about. I mean, yeah, there are a lot of ideals tossed around, but a lot of people I've met just seem to avoid talking about anything other than opinions. I think speaking to queer individuals on their opinions and thoughts might help that a bit. And I'm not just talking about political issues, but rather personal ones. Why it is tha

Oh Geez...

I've played with LEGO since I was a kid. It all started with a LEGO City set with a female minifigure I named Megan. I gave her all of the powers of a Powerpuff girl. She fought crime, battled monsters and generally saved the day.   Then one day I decided she should probably have a love interest. So, I picked a fire fighter minifig and named him Jack (because Titanic was a popular romance movie at the time, and that love interest was named Jack, so I figured it would work). While Jack had n

Learning from my previous entry

Alright. So. Drama happened.   It happens. That's life.   I stated in my previous entry that I wanted to use these blog entries to express my personal views on LGBT+ issues. So, what did I do wrong? I censored myself.   While I personally do not identify with trans binary binary trans (I was told "the trans binary" can refer to the binary spectrum. The proper terminology is binary trans), I do still fit into the trans spectrum. While I personally think my identity is subjective, it is sti

Busy busy and Visiting Akano

So, over this past weekend, I was offered a position for the job I applied for earlier this month. Plenty of good will and congratulations have already been crammed down my throat through social convention, so if it's okay with you guys, please keep the praise, glory, admiration, worship, confetti, store-bought cake and celebration to a nonchalant level.   Thank you.   Now then, it looks like I will likely be working two jobs this summer as I already have an office job (the hours clash, but m

Story Idea

It's likely a story I'll never get around to actually writing, but I've had this idea for a while and I like playing with it.   It's a slice-of-life style story (probably would do well as a short comic series) that focuses on the relationship between two characters, Sky and Cecilia. They have a really strong friendship and are roommates (probably around their mid to late twenties).   Sky is a gaymer (aka gay gamer) who has a history of depression. He hides scars on his left wrist, normally with

Vacation Wrapup

Yeah, the title pretty much sums it all up.   I'll be heading home tomorrow with KK while Akano heads back to the underground city of the badger moles where he will play his guitar to soothe the savage beasts and navigate his way out of some... moving cave maze or whatnot with his nomad posse and random river people he just met half an hour ago. He'll probably bore them to near death with tunnels and forgetting lyrics to the songs he plays... Typical, typical Akano. XP   So our last day wa

New Story Up

The Mask of Change   Whew, this was really fun to write! It's been a while since I've attempted a BIONICLE story, but I hope it's at least enjoyable.   This is the second short story addition for Volition. We started it off with A Destiny Chosen. We have more stories in the works, so hopefully we'll continue getting them out in a timely manner.   GET OFF MY LAWN AND GET TO THE LIBRARY!   ~Tekulo <3

New Epic

Say, anyone remember that story idea I blogged about a while back about the toa popping up in our world? Turns out I'm actually writing it.   Weird.   This is a link. YOU CAN'T DENY IT!   Feel free to check it out if you're interested.   ~Junpei

Under

The house was abandoned. While it was abandoned, that certainly didn’t mean it was lifeless. No, the cobwebs, droppings and moths scattered in the dust made that clear. There wasn’t any natural light in the home. The curtains on the windows had been drawn for, one could assume was, eternity. In this main room furniture was knocked around and broken. Portraits of the previous owners had been knocked down, torn and faded. None of their faces seemed to hold a smile.   It see

The Bestest Fair Ever

Long story short: I spent yesterday at the Ohio State Fair eating great barbecue chicken, lemonade, butter pican ice cream with cashews, a turkey leg and a candy apple; I went on rides that spun me around and flipped me upside down and I went down a huge slide; I went on a relaxing sky ride (and my anablephobia was kind enough not to show up); I saw sea lions balance balls on their noses, catch rings and dance and the entire day was fun and awesome.   I did not, however, get to ride the Crazy Mo

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy in a Nutshell

Note: the part of the game I am referencing happens at the very beginning of the story, so I didn't feel a need to use spoiler tags.   Layton: Now then Luke, the small child I have taken with me into enemy territory (with guns. Lots of guns), time is of the essence! We cannot afford to hesita-   Luke: ... ... So I ordered...

you to shut up Queen Watevera WaNabi's build Whatever box and it looks fun despite the fact I can't MOC to save my life.   Also I will never have time to play with it, it will end up rotting in my collection and why did I do this to myself?   ~Tekulo

Depression

Please listen to someone.   Don't expect for them to come to you with their problems.   Be open, be chill, and don't try to solve every single problem or try to dominate them by saying "you shouldn't feel that way."   Be approachable, stop being so judgemental, stop playing those stupid "I'm smarter and you're an idiot" games. Don't carry an air of superiority.   Consider others' feelings seriously. Don't write them off as "oh, they're just being like..." or whatever.   It's different for ever

Memento Monty

Not really a "something creative" but I had some charcoal pencils I hadn't used yet, and I wanted to do something RWBY related. A sketch of Ruby seemed like the least I could do. Rest in peace, Monty.

Let's try this one more time

Spoilers ahead for my alleged "fanfiction" however I wanted to write a story where the toa came to life and started helping people in our world. Where they came out of the story and touched the lives of people in order to do some good.   So, to everyone who has been reading my blog and following from the start; congratulations! ^^   So, I have a theory for one of my toa characters; Sida (see-duh). I've always been told I make good characters. Turns out I'm a natural thespian and storyteller.

Easter

So, this year I'm not working on the holiday. It's nice, though to be honest, I've missed having a job for a while now. Even so, spending time with family and friends is always nice. We went out to brunch and I ate enough to put me in a food coma for the afternoon. I got to see the people that I usually only see on holidays and special occasions, and they all seem to be doing well.   Now I'm with my folks at a family friend's house and we're all just hanging out. It brings me back. We us
