Well, tomorrow morning I head off on a near three-hour drive to college. Yes. I got it. I read it. It is INTENSE. Very different feel from the past eight Legends books, due to the fact that we no longer have novice Toa fighting against lesser villains -- we have the legendary veteran heroes, the Toa Nuva, in an all-out (and I mean all-out) brawl with the Brotherhood of Makuta. It's great to have the old Toa back, and plotwise, they're as awesome as ever. Pohatu still has his wit, Lewa his blunt humor and Kopaka his awesome Kopaka-ness.

However, I know that there's a series of books detailing the infamous Horus Heresy (conveniently called the Horus Heresy series), starting with the book Horus Rising. So I was watching some of The Legend Reborn today and I never realized how hilarious Bone Hunters are in that movie. When I see them, all I can think of are Covenant Grunts from Halo; they're short, have a hysterical yet moot ambition to kill the heroes, and are essentially canon fodder. I came to this realization when I saw Ackar, in the Battle of Roxtus, completely disregard his shield and sword and kick a Bone Hunter in the face.

Yes! Me, my uncle and my mom all went up to Guitar Center and got my electric guitar! I got a black Squire by Fender. It's SOOOO awesome. Unfortunately I can't actually have it till Christmas, so my uncle's holding on to it. But I did get my first guitar lesson (albeit a ten minute one). He said I picked it up real fast. He's actually teaching me how to play along with other songs before teaching me how to read the music; he believes that I learn much faster that way.

Kay, so for my Word Processing class, our final project is a PowerPoint presentation on whatever we want. It has to be at least twenty slides, it needs clip art, scanned pictures, pictures from the internent, yanno, stuff like that. Problem is, I have no idea what to do it on. The teacher suggested we do friends and family, but I'm not a people person and have few non-family friends by choice, so I'll be lucky if I can get seven slides out of that.
