So LEGO's apparently in talks with Fox to work out a deal to make sets for... The Simpsons. That's, uh, cool I guess. I mean, they're already yellow, so they'll make sense in classic minifig colors. But The Simpsons is for a bit more of a mature audience, so I'm slightly confused why they'd go this route. But oh well. They'd probably sell. ~|ET|~
I never did link my final prototype, did I? Well here ya go! Now, it is indeed just a prototype. So there's only one level... But it was fun to make. And I'm now onto the team game, which will be a totally different game. Need to start working seriously on it over break though.. ~|ET|~
Barely a day later, I've been notified I didn't get that internship for Amazon I interviewed for. So much for the week estimate they gave me on an answer... They were still interviewing people at my school alone today even. As a friend who was also told no (and in his case it hadn't even been 24 hours), it's like "they didn't even consider us." Oh well... ~|ET|~
It was... okay. Very, very, very technical. And as I predicted, my 90 minute interview really was just a smashing together of the two 45 minute interviews most people go through. So it was split into two parts. I think I did well enough in the first half, but in the second (which was about trees, which I'm not that great with/haven't fully covered yet in classes) I sorta fell apart... The interviewers seemed really nice though. I guess that's a plus? And that'd be bit for my first tech

It's New York Toy Fair time! And already things have me going crazy! Hasbro's Star Wars Black series, which they announced a few weeks ago, is finally going to get me into collecting Star Wars toys in addition to all those books. First of all, that power outage after half time was absolutely hilarious. Can't believe something like that happened and lasted so long. And once it was restored, boy did the game pick up. Got my first assignment in my game design class - make a game prototype on your own. It doesn't have to be flashy or even all that extensive. If you're making a level-based game, just one leve would even be good enough. So I'm making a childhood favorite - DugDug! And last night I chose to get a little creative with the sprites... And am henceforth renaming my game Diggy Diggy Hole. :3 ~|ET|~
So today was the first day of my sixth semester of college. And one class stood out far, fary above the others. IST 446: An Introduction to Building Computer/Video Games Why, you ask? We are being forced to play Mass Effect, World of Warcraft, and League of Legends. For a class. Now, I never wanted to touch LoL and WoW and am actually most disappointed Portal was apparently cut in favor of LoL... Finally saw it with a buddy tonight. It was phenomenal. Unlike me, he has read the book, and he felt the movie broke the stereotype and was indeed better than the book. We both agreed it seems ludicrous for it to be split into three films, but after sitting through this one, I'm glad. There was so much packed in there I'd hate for things to be cut out. So, I finally got the Desmond hoodie I've been wanting! You can also see next to it the awesome Star Wars blanket my mom made for me. It's soft and big and warm and yeah. Since I was late getting into the whole 3DS thing, I chose Christmas to catch up haha. I've only played MK7 so far, but I'm loving it so far. Also got a new Xbox controller. My first since getting a 360. And it's the super cool Halo 4 one! Can't wait to break that thing in. And of course there's my first Halo book.

So one of the ways E-House [Engineering House - my special living option dorm] is raising money for THON [charitable dance marathon] is staging a Coin War. Basically, there are cans for each floor of the building. You put pennies in your floor for positive points and other coins into other floors for negative points.
