History wasn't as bad as I thought. Chem, I wasn't worried about in the first place, but History wasn't too bad. Mostly big-picture things, you know? So it was much easier than the more specific tests throughout the year (how the heck would I know who Hubert Humphrey is? He sounds like Humpty Dumpty's cousin!).

I think their editor DIED midway through working on the book. So many of the problems are so screwed up...
Like the one where they use the 30-60-90 right triangle pattern. Okay, fine. HOWEVER THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 30 DEGREE ANGLE CANNOT BE LARGER THAN THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 60 DEGREE ANGLE! Yeesh! I don't usually watch scary movies since I'm a self-proclaimed coward. But being here has been all about doing something new.
So I watched 1408 and it scared the living daylights out of me, then cast a revive spell and scared them out again.
It was a good movie but as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to generally avoid the horror genre from now on. Not my cup of tea. Or blood, as the case may be.

I swear I've never heard of such a screen resolution before.
Yet all the monitors in the 300 computer lab have that res. The first day that I had Comp Sci after I'd made the wallpaper I tried out the 1280x1024 and found, not to my great surprise, that it was too big. So when I got home I resized it to 1024x768 which is a pretty usual resolution. The next time I have Comp Sci I found out that it's too small. So I'm like "wut?" except I forget to check the screen res I think.

Well, I do my best not to bother everyone too much with updates on how my writing's going, but these past few days I've just gotten back into the rhythm so I'm feeling pretty good about this. I'm about halfway through chapter 12 (although the hardest part is yet to come) so I've got my buffer zone back.

Somebody on our bus smokes. It's the most annoying thing. Well, for starters, it's ILLEGAL, and it's just... ugh.
I mean, it's disgusting. EVERYONE on the bus smells it, and it's obvious, and... geez...
I'm one of those people who's absurdly paranoid about secondhand smoke, too. I hold my breath when I walk past people smoking outside stores. And it really sucks when it's freezing outside but we have to open all the windows on the bus to vent out the smoke.
I just hate people like that.

Four letters somehow inserted into your topic title will not kill you. That rule seems to be forgotten so often. I can find about three new topics each day in the Art forum that are edits, without the indication in the title.
See the problem here is, each time I actually DO expect drawn art when I click on the topic. I'm not kidding, the reason that Pohuaki instituted the rule is in fact valid.
