Nothing better for a cough/sore throat.
Hot, right now, actually, so I have to drink it slowly. It's so good though. And soothing.
This also might be the first time in a very long time I want the weekend to be over quickly; or rather Monday to come sooner. Waiting on those results... ahhh, the suspense...
So, I'm volunteering at this kinda small summer camp, it's not really very well organized, one of those school things... I swear, it's like five teachers dropped dead before the last week of camp, I mean it's like none of them want to teach for the last week. Horribly understaffed, horribly... there are literally two teachers there for the entire day, a couple come for only the morning, one for the afternoon, and then there's me.
So I'm "teaching" (rather, handling the class) drawing and math
Thankfully I've gotten rid of most of the annoying things (like asking for permission for EVERYTHING. "Did you copy this file?" "Did you start this installation?" YES I DID DARNIT) but there's this one thing the source of which I simply haven't a clue... these noises.
For one thing, Vista is significantly noisier than XP. Either that or the noises are just more obtrusive, instead of the very functional, to-the-point digital beeps and clicks of normal XP usage... Vista seems to have replaced t
I DON'T BELIEVE I BEAT IT!!!
Third form was easy as anything, and, well, I was kinda cheap on fourth form (there are videos of these crazy speedrunners playing this game, and one tactic is to intentionally get hurt on the spikes so you get the few seconds of invincibility and thus are able to pass through the spinny eye-thingies and get into the safe spot by the eye) but hey, I'm not crazy good at this game like some people are
Ooooh man it feels so good to finally have completed this ga
I may have already ranted about how bad that new playground is, but I just took my sister there today, and I must comment on it, it absolutely stinks. It's not just poorly designed. If you ask me, it's unSAFE. Heck, I'm ready to write in to complain.
See, it's NEW, a lot newer and fancier, but it's like they tried to make it look pretty and shiny before making it work well for children.
No part of a playground equipment should be open that is above four feet. By open I mean like, a ladder,
So, Valentine's Day.
What does that have to do with a martyr dying?
I mean, I understand the history of the holiday, after Claudius put Valentine to death some guy was like "I will be as devoted to you as Valentine was to God" or something along those lines, and poof, we get St. Valentine's Day.
But honestly, Hallmark (the term essentially standing place for all holiday-oriented companies of the like) just took it and ran with it. Where did all those poofy red hearts come from? And Cupi
My entry is number eight, Predator Preyed.
And it's looking so close... a tie now, then one moves up a bit, then another tie, then another lead...
Felicitas vobiscum omnibus!
(Why am I NOT surprised that ToM had the correction? )

Those are not random letters; they mean something.
I memorize random things. That is a variation on one of the things I've memorized.
Mwahaha. >=D
WHAT. THE. HECK!?
All I'm finding off Google is like scholarly journals that I can't understand. Can I just get a simple explanation of WHY W3O8 is a neutral compound? I mean Oxygen has an oxidation number of 2-, there are eight of them, that makes a total of 16-. HOW DO YOU BALANCE A NEGATIVE 16 CHARGE WITH 3 ATOMS? 3 does not go into 16! There's no number I can assign Tungsten that will work! I mean, a compound that makes SENSE next time, please? >_<
It apparently exists as some we
Or not with a vengeance!
Anyone at ALL remember my old Traffic LEGO stopmotion movies? With the funny guy with the glasses always getting run over by cars?
Boo-yah!
... I did not just say that oO.
Anyway, joy. I gotta get back into this whole stopmo business.
I've had this really cool idea (keyword: IDEA) where I have this gigantic fight between all the LEGO schtuffs in my room (I know, so original, eh?).
It'd be very involved, I'd probably have wires and pulleys strung up all
AKA I went out to practice driving for the first time today, with my dad.
Yeah, I realize I coulda gotten my permit two years ago. I was just really lazy and kept putting it off. ^^;; But now I have it! So my dad drove me to a parking lot and I got behind the wheel for the first time.
He says I did pretty good, though I tend to be overly-cautious judging turns on the right side and always end up making the turn like five feet away from the curb. And if the parking lot had been full I think
I think there are still twenty-ish Easter eggs at large. Out of a final count of about eighty, it seems.
We'll be turning them up from the nooks and crannies of our house for days. Not even I remember where I hid them.
... and since I may as well chapter 19, the penultimate chapter of 52-pickup, was posted earlier today.
Nobody break out in song, please.
Tomorrow is my sister's sixth birthday! I'm so happy for her. I'm sad that I can't be there with her though, but I'll definitely call... or they'll call me, since they'll be off doing schtuff the rest of the day. My mom said she'd call when they were ready with the cake and stuff so I could sing happy birthday together with them.
Speaking of which I'd better charge my phone in that case.
Tomorrow we're also going on a trip to Wildwood Highlands, which
Today Tom Lehrer turns 80! Wow...
In celebration, I propose a round of The Masochism Tango! Anyone? No? What about I Hold Your Hand in Mine?
I'm sorry now I killed you dear
For our love was something fine.
And until they come and get me
I shall hold your hand in mine!
Why don't we ring in the season with Poisoning Pigeons in the Park?
Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here,
life is skittles, and life is beer.
I think the most wonderful time of the year is the spring,
I do, don'
Well, at least I've got all my summer assignments done. But I've gotta pack all my backpack and all that @*&^!!...
Oh yeah and I'm still doin' stuff for the CS2 project... the admin fellow contacted Pixel and apparently he needs to clarify but he thinks the issue is that Pixel doesn't want us using the name "Cave Story 2," because, well, it's fanmade and whatnot... not an official sequel. So people have been tossing around random names and I suggested we come up with a good plot first aft
And school starts this Thursday.
And my sister's going to Kindergarten on Thursday too, and my mom picked out an outfit for her and her backpack and shoes and clothes all match and she looks ADORABLE ^w^
I should get a haircut before school starts... it's a bad sign if I look up and I can see about an inch of my hair...
Also, my sister's going to be really expensive as she grows up... everything has to be brand name. Her shoes are Sketchers (because of the commercials, and someone at s
Guess where I went today? No no, seriously, you'll NEVER guess. Couldn't possibly. Nope.
[EDIT: well whadya know, I forgot it's past 12, so I should say what I did YESTERDAY. Whatever. Same thing. Not really...]
Well anyway I saw another movie today and went to the Ripley's museum and ate at a fancy sit-down place and against my better instincts spent in one day more than what I spent all of this week. But it was really fun.
Times Square at night. Coolest. Place. In. New. York.
I have loaded 3 megabyte files in Photoshop within 5 seconds.
So tell me why, just WHY, ANY progam, ANY PROGRAM, could POSSIBLY need 30 minutes to open a 1.7 meg file?
I'm not even exaggerating. I started the load at 10:50 and it ended at 11:20.
What is SO HARD TO LOAD about a Windows Movie Maker project? Why does the program INSIST on closing every single time I open it?
I could load every image I used in that movie into Photoshop within a few seconds. I could load every sound file
I rode my bike to the library today. And man I tell ya if I ever get my hands on the contractor who did those sidewalks... I mean, it's not the main sidewalk itself, that was rather smooth. But when it comes to the ramps at the end of the sidewalk that leads onto the road...
Okay, so the sidewalk and road area is like grass | sidewalk | grass | border| road. And the border, it's the little thin concrete wall that keeps the grass out of the road, right? And when it gets to the end of the sidew
OHGEEZWHYDIDTHISHAVETOBEDURINGFINALSWEEK!?
Er, well, I do only have 2 finals this week... but it is the week before AP exams... so...
