Probably the biggest news this week is the the 2009 sets have been spotted across the United States and elsewhere. So if you've been eagerly waiting for next year's sets (and seriously, who hasn't?) get checking at your local Target, Toys 'R' Us, or other fine retailer. Just try not to get trampled by the holiday crowds.
And of course, with 2009 sets appearing that means it's time for 2009 set
So, as you may or may not know, there is going to be a LEGO Store opening at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. I'm not sure exactly when yet, but it's opening. I find this funny, because there used to be a store nearby in the Paramus Park Mall and another about an hour west at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. There still is one maybe a little over a half hour away at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, NY. Yes, the New York Metro is inundated with shopping centers (and I haven't even m
I'm sure many of you can relate to this in some way or other, either you've already gone back, or will go back soon (or you're 'lucky' and out of school). I return this Friday, drop off all my stuff, then head to Brickfest, so there's lots to do. I have to pack and make sure I don't forget anything, have to start thinking about books and classes again, etc. At least it means no more working, which is somewhat of a plus. Last Friday was the last day of my internship. Today was my first day of summer classes. Sometimes it seems like I never get a break, but summer classes aren't too bad. Sure I may be taking 25 credits this summer, which is probably twice what some schools require during a normal semester, but I'm crazy like that. I'll probably end up having more free time than when I was interning, since there will be less commuting and more downtime during the day when I can log on.

Well, we were offline last Friday so there was no update then. But we're back now! So let's see what we have.

First up, the forums were offline, but now they're back. I apologize once again for the downtime and the data loss. We did the best we could, and hope now to be better prepared for the future. We're already quite recovered though, thanks to the hard work of all our members and staff.

My break is unfortunately coming to an end and soon it will be time to go back to classes. It's been a fun few weeks though, I've been able to hang out with my friends a lot and catch up from the past semester. But now it's come to saying goodbyes again. Only a few of us are left, and I go back this coming weekend. It will be a change, getting used to a semi-rigid schedule again, we'll see how it goes.

So I got an order in today from Amazon. Among other things, in it were Casablanca on HDDVD and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Two quite different movies that are both awesome in their own right. I just finished up the former and am watching the latter as I type this up.

Instead, I hopped on a plane and headed for sunny Orlando, Florida for a real, live vacation.
