I love blogs. Great way to organize you folks to do my work for me.
(Kidding.. mostly...) *ahem* Well, after being busy for a couple months this spring then working on tons of S&T projects including the Contest which is only just now wrapping up, you all have noticed I'm sure that there haven't been any more Myths & Misconceptions articles for a long time now.
There's tons of need for another one, but now that the search engine is offline for us FLs too now, it's gonna be hard to
Enter the Powerpoint Face Contest by May 15!
This won't be my main entry this week if I can help it -- I wanna launch the next interview in a few days here. But in response to a topic in GD the other day, I wanna make something clear. Not going to link to it, just quote from it, and I'll not pretend to speak for Greg or anyone else -- just me. The topic starter had this to say:
Now, I can understand his sentiments. Sometimes I am attacked, and of course that is wrong. But some people
Minor entry today. I made a new avatar for first time in forever. (Now with larger avs, which is a newish staff perk, admins have to handle the sizing every time us staff change avs, and I've just been not bothering 'em. Plus I still love my old av. ) Just decided it was time to make a newer one.
I designed it primarily to provoke the response of "You made that in powerpoint?!", and it has worked. Here it is a bit bigger:
For anyone who's curious, here's some tidbits on how I did
Deadline Extension! Enter by December 9th!
Okay, this "everybody hates 'Teridax'" myth is getting out of hand. Easy mistake to make, but it's just a myth.
The vast majority of BZPers like "Teridax". Only a relative handful of vocal complainers dislike it. Which is their right -- but let's keep it in perspective. That is, let's actually put it in perspective in the first place, since we have already taken "it" far outside perspective.
What's going on here is what happens on BZP an
Today the Bones Blog brings you a guest essay by ~Shadow Kurahk~ on the topic of S&T theories. He suggested the theme in a PM, and I offered to host an essay by him on it if he wanted to write one. He did, and here it is!
Rational, Practical, Statistical, A Guest Essay on Theories
by ~Shadow Kurahk~
Theories are almost certainly the center of the BIONICLE fan base nowadays. Though, I'm not just talking about all the theories that are out there. I mainly want to talk about those
Poem.
A new universe
Worlds blink into existence
First large and wide
second pulling together into shimmering orbs
A moon here, a planet there, a comet streaking there
Growing in size
Growing in number
Blink
One second twenty worlds
Next second a million
Even as the universe grows, its fate is sealed
Worlds grow too large. Out of control. Worlds merge. Collapse.
Two great arms stretch out
A horrible chorus of screams reaches beyond the univer

Every once in a while someone accusing Greg of lying. People wanna know what's gonna happen ahead of time, and sometimes there are Big Theory Debates that get everybody madly curious. What's a poor author to say when someone asks point-blank, is it true?
Recently, a member whose name won't be mentioned here said this:
So Greg lied? When people PMed him asking "Is Takua Takanuva?" or the like, did he just say "no", knowing full well that he'd be caught in the lie eventually? Why would h
This walkthrough is written by Master of the Rahkshi, and the Ko-Koro section by bngi. MotR has just finished the parts for the new content. Thanks, man! This will be linked in Ojhilom's walkthrough post in the RPG: The Map of Mata Nui. I've made minor edits and filled in some things, etc.
Whole thing doesn't fit in one blog entry; this goes from the first new Version 3 content that begins as you're leaving Ko-Koro, and goes to the end of the storyline. Bonus content and minigames and chores

Yes, I spelled it that way on purpose.
As a sequel to my Visual Guide to Cool, today the Bones Blog brings you a collection of leaves found in my yard and around my neighborhood while dogwalking in the last two weeks. Study these leaves closely -- they'll be on the test. I mean... they roxor...
With the exception of three "leaves", including the pine needles, that I plucked from trees and bushes in my own yard, all of these were found on the ground. Then I scanned them in my scann
Art-related updates:Be sure to enter the Monster Mystery Powerpoint Art Contest by noon EST on Tuesday, November 25.
Love the new art contest (from the forum, not my blog ), and I definately plan on entering. Think I know what I'll do -- and of course it will be done in Powerpoint. I'll try not to worry about winning this one. Just for fun.
Two new random example entries in the Monster Mystery contest -- these slapped together in about one hour total. Here's all three example monsters n
Updates:Krakuaofsonics and I have been discussing ideas about a possible reference system for Greg's answers. BS01 already covers the essentials, but what about those common but not-so-essential questions that people keep asking Greg over and over and over and over? The problem is that Greg has to spend Various attempts to fix this problem have been proposed, even tried, but nothing seems to last. Is there a good way to fix this? Or is the OGD as good as we can do, other than of course Greg doin
Just so yall know I'm not dead, I guess I'll do a quick updates entry.
1) I have figured out what my mental illness is. I have mentioned this many times, that I tend to take a lot longer than most people to react, and I focus on things way longer than normal people until I understand everything about it I can -- I basically can't help it -- and I've just been too lazy to bother getting a professional opinon. Well. I finally decided to visit a psychiatrist.

B P: The Map Of Mata Nui -- RPG Version 3 Available Now !
Best in-map battles yet, minigames, graphics, and full storyline!
It's finally available! The game designed with fun in mind, mystery, very advanced code for RPGMaker, and now the full storyline available!
Go play it!
(It's still technically a "skeletal" version, since there's minor stuff still unfinished, but the storyline and frankly far more game features than planned are available NOW! )
*finally gets around to this*
What follows is a very short story that I wrote as a "Velika Mode" analogy in a recent debate topic, intended to help explain a mistake a lot of people make in how to look at what Bionicle should do. Someone PMed me and said they actually enjoyed the story, so I figure I might as well put it here, lol. Whether you wanna read this for its meaning, or just as a short story, enjoy!

Irony of ironies, we've got another tie for last winning place in the MOC category. Only one of these two can win. Post which one you want to win.
You have until 11:00 PM EST today to choose.

Random thunks:
1) RPG skeletal version main programming is DONE! I just completed the full test play yesterday, and we are currently fixing a few major errors. We are aiming for putting it online this weekend. Maybe even tomorrow morning (if not, Sunday).
It'sa gonnabe fun, man!
2) I posted another one of those annoying staffie rant topics. Please read it. Evidence, Not "proof", Needed for Theories.
3) I know, I know, the S&T contest results topic is late. Bear with me --
Okay, this is super simple. Please listen closely.
Viewing as a guest saves bandwidth.
Viewing as a member takes more bandwidth.
Because pages loaded for members have to load some extra features like control panel links, new PM notices (or just checking how many new messages there are), member settings, etc. Many of those guests are members, who are viewing as a guest to save bandwidth. Plus, lurking before joining to get used to the rules is wise.
So enough with these nonsensical
These three MOCs tied for third place in the Semifinal A poll for S&T#4's MOC category. My math can allow two of them to move on to the final poll (making ten entries in that poll). Post which two you want to move on.
You have until 6:00 EST today to choose. Then I gotta get those final polls up.

Sorry I missed two entries. Various things delayed me the first week, but this is what delayed me the second week. If you've followed this blog long, you remember Esne from the memoriam entry for Penny, our golden retriever who passed away two years ago. Last Wednesday, Esne passed away as well.
Esne was a Brittany we adopted. We usually called her "Ezzie" or just "Ez." Her previous life we don't know that much about, but she was owned by a homeless woman and lived in a car. She was alre

All those veggy diets and such bleagh-ness neglect the importance of good taste for mental health. Besides, all the fancy schmancy diet intructions are murder on your sanity. Who cares about a flat stomach if you go insane?
Therefore: eat tasty stuff. Just less of it.

Tahu held up his new magma blades and frowned at them. The energized protodermis had changed his old firesword, just when he was beginning to feel confident with its use. It had changed his mask power, just when he'd gotten the hang of all his powers. He wore new armor. His elemental power was changed, its source now coming from a strange symbol on the Suva.
The changes affected his emotions. He felt unstable -- as if everything he thought was dependable had been crushed. He sensed a vague t
