Pollsies!

I know I told you guys about the S&T 5 contest I had entered... The first round of voting ended a week or so ago, and I was blessed enough to win my poll. According to Bonesiii, the second round of voting is not to determine the winner (which the first ones already did), but rather to rank the ten winners. So, I guess one could say this is more of a determination of the ones people liked the best, aka, popularity.   Bleh. I never do so well with such things..... and such, I'm being tro

Political Poll

So this year, Election 2008, I've been following both candidates and am aware of all that's going on. I've watched or listened to parts of the debates and have strong convictions on the various issues. Now I won't go in depth on any of that since it's not allowed and I don't care to start a flame war.   By the way, I support John McCain. (I won't say any more than that. )   But I'm curious. How many teenagers are out there that are interested in and follow politics like me?   If you

Ouchies...

I don't like being sick. Headache, fever, backache, gah. Heh, who does? But, it's especially hard at school where there's no comfy bed or couches to rest on. Desks aren't exactly ideal for sleeping or resting. I mean, as I was outside, the grass looked so nice. I was trying to imagine what other students would think if they saw some girl lying on the grass.   Well, at least I'm feeling a little better now. I love Tylenol!   So, I took the PSAT today. Thankfully, I wasn't feeli

Olympics!

Since the Opening Ceremonies, I've watched the Olympic Games and have followed the medal count. It's been a lot of fun to watch, especially the swimming and gymnastics. Maybe it's been so exciting because I couldn't do what those Olympians do. Well, I do swim a fair amount, but gymnastics??? You've got to be kidding me. I can't even do a cartwheel!   I have been supporting the United States throughout all of it and will continue to. But, I still think it's so cool how all these countr

No One Wants To See This...

I'm sure everyone is getting sick of these story updates. Yet, I couldn't resist....   Hey, you there! In the blue shirt! You look bored! Need a great read? Love epics? Then this is for you! Come and get it while it's hot! Chapter six of the virtually unknown epic, To Be or Not To Be is up NOW! That's right, folks! Freshly written and off the press! With an assorted array of sad and sweet, seriousness and hilarity, this is as varied an epic you can get. So that's right, you know

News Flash!

Coming from the slowest updater of epics in the epics forum, I'm very excited and pleased to tell you guys(and gals) that To Be or Not To Be has been updated! Anyhow, this is not, I repeat not, the last chapter of the epic. I know that I said that twelve was going to be the last chapter...... But, uh, that plan was changed when twelve was drawing near the six-page mark and I hadn't even gotten close to finishing. Ah, I'm ridiculous. Now according to my estimates, I'm going to say there wil

New Music!

It's so awesome, a few days ago I got a new cd. Hey, I know it's not an ipod, mp3, or any such gadget, but it works for me. So my brother made me a cd from some of his music that's on his computer. He has probably more than a weeks worth of songs on his itunes, it's crazy. I picked out the songs I liked and then he burned it, and named it. Since we had just (or were going to) watched the Bourne Ultimatum he named it the 'Aeryn Ultimatum' after a main character in Toa of the New Republic.

New Content Block

Today I realized there was something I needed to do. I had put it off for too long. Ready to hear it?   I cleaned out my inbox. It had been nearing 70% full and I knew it would have to be done sometime. So I ransacked through it and deleted hundreds of PM's. The end result, you may ask? I got it down to 28%... but I haven't finished yet. I know you're wondering what this has to do with the title. It does, trust me. B)   So anyhow, during my rampage, I came across a PM from Arch-An

Narnia: Prince Caspian...the Official Review

So last week, I think it was Saturday, I went to see Prince Caspian in the theater. Now I've read the books and I've seen the first movie a number of times. Actually, I'm going to see the first again tonight but that's hardly the point is it?   I've heard many negative comments as well as some positive. If you like things to be strictly canon and want the writers of a movie to stick to the book, tough luck. They definitely changed and added alot to this movie. The White Witch was in it bri

My Children!

Haha, I couldn't pass up the chance to use that as a title. I'd love to see the looks on your faces... But that's the dramatic side of me coming through. So, I told you I'd let you know when "my children", aka BIONICLE sets, were returned from a sevenish month loan. And guess what? I got 'em back!!! Yeah, it was a few weeks ago, but still. And I didn't even have to break any noses or anything. Now I can set up decent scenes on my dresser again...   On another note, for my English cla

My Attempt At Art

I'm no artist. Never have been. The extent of my abilities is stick figures, flowers, and simple things such as that. Today in English, I was supposed to draw a dog (don't ask ) and so I did. Later, a girl leaned over and said, "It looks like a cat." Ya' see? And people? Oh, never! I mean, I've tried but rarely are they decent looking. Once when I felt in a drawing mood, I drew a human version of Sunari, a made-up villainess from the Epics Contest Four that I entered. It was one of my

Merry Christmas... A Day Late.

See, I was planning on posting an entry yesterday but never really got around to it. I suppose it's okay to do it now.   MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful day with friends and family and presents and food. I know I did. Got some pretty cool gifts, or 'loot', as I have heard said. Lesse, I received clothes, jewelry, candy/food, books (including Brisinger!!! Yayz!), and RotK soundtrack. It may not sound like much but I'm happy with it.   So, I hung out and rela

Merriest Christmas To All!

I just wanted to wish all my dear friends a very, very Merry Christmas!!! I hope you all have a most blessed day celebrating with your family and friends, relaxing and enjoying The Peace!!   I know that I've been, remembering the Reason for this day, basking in the love of my most special family, receiving awesome gifts (Wheel of Time, Nightwish, a ring, etc), eating delicious foods (cinnamon rolls, bacon, fettucini, etc), playing football, and watching 24.   Merry Christmas.   -JG

Mata-nui Olympics!...chapter 1

So before, I mentioned that my siblings (Israeli Toa and The White Lady) and I are writing a story about the Olympics on Mata-Nui. It's been a lot of fun 'playing' them and writing the chapters as well.   I just wanted to let you all know that the first chapter is up! My sis wrote it, and did so very well I must say. If you're looking for something lighthearted and fun to read, I think you'll enjoy this story.   And meanwhile, I've been working on some of my own stories. I've got one chapt

Live Debates!

Coming soon to a blog near you...   As I mentioned before, I will be hosting live debates between two members to discuss an issue. I would like to announce that the first is scheduled for this upcoming Saturday evening, November 8th, at 9:00 EST. The topic? Which BIONICLE year is better: '01 or '08? The debaters? The distinguished members Sorek and Exo-Fat will meet here to defend their point of view.   One thing I'd like beforehand is this: Please keep all comments to yourself while t

Live Debate Now!

I would like to welcome you to what I hope will be the first of many debates! First let me warn you not to write anything in this entry, rather watching quietly till it's over. At which point, I'll open a new comment entry where you can place your vote and help me determine who won.   Let's get down to business. The subject to be debated tonight is one I've heard discussed all throughout the forums:   Which year of BIONICLE was better: 2001, when it all began, or 2008, the year now drawing to

Life And School And Stuff.

*Sighs* Whew, it has been a while, hasn't it? I've seriously been meaning to write an entry (I even got one started) but never really got around to sitting down and focusing on it. Hopefully what I'm typing now gets posted. Since there's a lot to cover, I guess I'll just divide up the "updates" into three categories: school, life, and writing. (I would work in the writing somewhere, wouldn't I?)   But first I have a quick story. So I started writing this entry a while ago, determined to

Kopeke: "..."

Yeah, maybe that title isn't very specific. Can you guess what the entry is going to be about?   No?   Fine, I'll tell you. I know I mentioned the Mata-Nui Olympics epic that I'm co-writing several times, but I'm really excited because I posted the second chapter today. My sister wrote both the prologue and the first chapter so it was cool to put one of my own up.   So you still haven't figured out what Kopeke has to do with this?   Well, this chapter is from Kopeke's point of view. Imma Bad Driver...

Blech. So today, I was doing a driving exercise in my Driver's Ed class. So after the first person in my car goes around the range several times, I get in the drivers seat. In my first time around, as I'm weaving in and out of cones, I cut it a leeeetle bit close and knocked one over.   For anyone who's been in Driver's Ed, that's not cool. It's like... say, hitting a person in real life. Yeah, and I just had to do it. So the coach yells at me to stop the car, so I do. And then I have to

I'm A Highschooler!

First off, I apologize for not posting for...months? Banjon Wildlough reminded me of that today. On to the entry.   Woah! Before, I was homeschooled and took a class or two at the public middle school. But now, now I'm in the public high school full time!!! It's a lot different. For example, tonight I had (have) homework in two classes, two quizzes to study for, and a test to study for. I'm sure you sixteen and seventeen year olds are thinking, "That little Freshie knows nothing! I'

I Almost "epic" Failed!

You guys will love this story. It's about a girl who has some issues. They say that the first step to fixing an issue is admitting the problem. Well, in this case, this particular girl I know freely admits that she is a procrastinator. But now, it has almost cost her dearly. It almost deprived her of one thing that she immensely enjoys doing. But this story, is a success story.   Know who it is yet??   Fine. It's me. So I find out about the Epics Contest in June. Huzzah For Permits!

Y'know how I was talking about studying for my permit test? Well, today I went to the DMV and took the necessary tests...and amazingly, I passed and got my permit!!! Woot!   This means the start of my driving 'training'. That ought to be fun... "BRAKE!" "THAT'S A RED LIGHT!" "TURN RIGHT, NOT LEFT!"     Look out, here I come!!   -JG

Homework Music

I don't know about you guys, but when I do my homework, it helps to listen to music. I know I would do fine without it, it just makes the process that much more enjoyable. So whether it be an essay I'm writing, Spanish verbs I'm conjugating, or flash cards I'm making, I like to turn the good 'ol CD player on. (And no, I don't have an Ipod, MP3, or small music-playing gadget.)   As I'm making this entry, I'm also working on some English and listening to 'Across the Stars' from Attack of the C

Hey There.

Hi, you guys.   Wow, it's been a while.... There is so much to write about. I'll start with the summer and move from there. When I "returned" this June, I thought being out of school would free up my time and allow me to spend some more time on this awesome website. Yeaaah, problem is, I wasn't done with school. This past summer, I took two online classes (Early American History and Macroeconomics) with the local community college. And then I also worked and went to Iowa with my dad. An
