when Nine Inch Nails announced Hesitation Marks earlier this month, my first thought was literally "the only way this year can get any better is if Katatonia releases something new, and since they just had an album last year I know that's not gonna happen". boy, am I glad to be wrong.
I typically never do these kinds of things but some stuff's been goin on recently so yeah a couple weeks ago I saw a doctor about a cold, and while I was there he took my blood pressure and was very concerned about how high it was and told me to schedule an appointment with my usual doctor to have it looked at. about a week later I did so and was sent home with a prescription for blood pressure medicine that I now have to take regularly as well as instructions to have lab work done ASAP. o
pretty great special but I think people have been waaay overselling it, seeing the Doctors together was honestly the best part of it for me the story wasn't anything amazing and I thought the ending was dumb buuut it was enjoyable and certainly not the worst thing Moffat has ever done. (also for god's sake, can everyone please stop assuming that everyone else has seen it and thus it's okay to thoughtlessly post untagged, warning-free spoilers everywhere? like, I knew several major plot poi
just finished watching it I guess it's to be expected, but it wasn't all that great it wasn't necessarily a terrible movie, either, it just the whole thing just seemed very uncharacteristic for L and I feel like they could've done a solo spinoff movie a lot better like L generally just kind of doesn't go around in public showing his face and getting involved in high-paced action sequences involving bio-terrorists, he's a mysterious and secretive detective who solves impossible crimes ent
you can trust me I'm a professional critic 10. That's the Spirit by Bring Me the Horizon best hardcore album since Meteora by Linkin Park 9. Drones by Muse #OccupySesameStreet 8. A Head Full of Dreams by Coldplay once again proving why they're bigger than The Beatles. without a doubt the definitive British feels-rock band 7. Wilder Mind by Mumford & Sons a nurse once told me I look like Marcus Mumford. no joke. I'm not even a dude 6. Got Your Six by
if you live in the US and there's a primary in your state today and you're able, go out and vote I want to vote in the primary but because of my current living/family situation and the way voting works in my state, I unfortunately can't. so if you have the opportunity to vote and you pass on it, I'm judging you extra hard today
my only complaint is that people keep saying Tom Hanks played him, which simply isn't true. Tom Hanks was Woody in Toy Story; Sully was played by John Goodman. other than that, easily one of my favorite Pixar characters.
hey guys I found this great new game I bet nobody's ever heard of okay so I'm almost 5 years late to the party but I finally broke down and bought the Legendary Edition of Skyrim during the last Steam sale and it's slowly consuming my life also: mods make the game 1000x better
not even kidding. I had one of these in my room and last night it exploded and almost started a house fire smelled something burning and suddenly there was a loud bang like a firecracker and a flash of light and smoke and sparks started pouring out of the top of it unplugged it and threw it away this morning. I didn't even realize it was still plugged in, I hadn't even used it in 10+ years
idk what's better about this absolutely, horrifically cheesy show: the sweet 80s-esque heavy metal theme song or the fact that all three of the main characters are voiced by the guy who played Steve Urkel, including the girl for whom he literally just does his Urkel voice
apparently he's the Lego art director whose name was the inspiration for the Order of Mata Nui member Tobduk? I always knew of him before as the vocalist of the legendary Boston metalcore band Aftershock, which he formed alongside his brother, Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. I guess this explains the "Lego, Let's Go!" official promotional music video featuring a pretty neat original hardcore punk song credited as being written by Toby. really cool.
after getting a damaged copy, waiting for a refund, ordering another, waiting an unusually long time for it to be shipped, and then finally getting the final piece needed today, I've completed another discography collection. from top to bottom: - Something Wild (2008 deluxe reissue) - Hatebreeder (2008 deluxe reissue) - Follow the Reaper (US edition) - Hate Crew Deathroll (US edition) - Are You Dead Yet? (US edition) - Blooddrunk (US edition) - Halo of Blood also owned, but not pictured:
NEW VOLBEAT ALBUM. mixed feelings on the title. it fits with their theme and all, but it doesn't really roll off the tongue and it isn't as cool as past titles like Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil or Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood. title aside, it's pretty much guaranteed to rock in every sense of the word. so color me psyched. OH. sidenote. just to make this relevant to people unfamiliar with the band. like all of their previous albums, it's being produced (along with Rob Caggi
