Opinion Outlet #1

I am starting monthly Opinion Outlets. I am a fiercely independent person, you see, so it is instinctive for me to start things like this.   OPINION OUTLET #1: What do you think would happen to Bionicle if Zac Efron had anything to do with it? Personally, I would rant my head off, then send my head to burn down every copy of Entertainment Weekly in existence.

Ooerg...

Took an overnight flight last night from CA to MA... not like anybody cares anymore.   Or looks at my blog anymore.   Or comments anymore.

Now Officially A Freshman...

...and things are going fairly well. We have a new Geography teacher. The previous one, who I didn't have because I was in junior high, had a horrible reputation among the students. She's gone now, and the replacement is pretty well-received.   However, there are only four other freshmen besides me, one of whom is always absent. It's a very lonely situation. And because I'm retaking the first part of Algebra 1, the teacher torments me by giving me extra.

Novocaine Doomsday

I'm having two of my baby teeth pulled today. They are apparently blocking my adult teeth from coming through, and if these teeth aren't pulled, they'll come out from the side. It will be a horrible, painful procedure.

Not A Nice Day For A White Wedding

I was eating a frozen yogurt (I couldn't lick my lips because my mouth was still numb) and started thinking: Why bother putting music in places so noisy you can barely hear it? They're taunting the customers!

My 20 Fave Bionicle Artists

1. Rahi Zaku. Hands-down the most influential Bionicle artist of all time. Without the RZ-man, where would any of us be? Morgan Biddinger brought the pseudo-chibi—or “hard empire”—style out of the BZP underground and sent it rocketing into the mainstream of Bionicle art. He also created countless kits, won a BBC in a landslide and influenced an entire generation of Bionicle artists—all in the span of only three years.   2. Nikira. Probably the most likely candidate for the “new RZ” title, Nikir

Mocc #1: Dystopia!

DYSTOPIA!   Set sizes have been going down while prices have been hiking. It started with the Matoran. They were nearly the height and nearly the cost of the Toa Mata, but they only had 14 pieces! (Okay, Radiak had 16, but you get the point.) Then we had a fully-priced ($14.99) demi-titan that was merely a Makuta packaged with a Matoran, however cool he was. This summer, we have Krika, one of the tallest sets yet but containing only 40 pieces! Scary.   In this contest, you must build a caniste

Melvins

Saw the Melvins on the 27th at the Great American Music Hall. I was about ten feet from King Buzzo himself, right on the edge of a huge mosh pit.   Oh, and the show ROCKED. I don't usually use that word, but in this case, it applies. They played a bunch of their classics and a whole lot of even better new stuff--and they ended the show with fifteen minutes of feedback. Not exactly Miley Cyrus.   The main problem with the show was the extra drummer and bassist. The drummer did nothing except d

Les Claypool Is Not Les Claypool

1: I think the picture above is proof enough. 2: Les Claypool would not claim to be Les Claypool. 3: Les Claypool is currently 44, not 75. 4: Les Claypool has stated that he cares as much about fishing as he does music. I do not see fishing in "Les's" interests. 5: Les Claypool was born on September 26, not August 11. 6: I saw Primus two nights ago. "Les" is still in the same spot.

Just Some Random Cud To Chew On

It's bizarre, but there's Mahri at the Burlington LEGO Store, but none at the Natick LEGO store! It is bizarre, heavily bizarre as the bottle of sluggishness touches the lips of the employee, driving on a rigatoni as a cow is julienned by a giant toaster, paying no attention to the boiling butter beyond, and he sleeps on the border!

Jacob K.'s Opinion On Pteromyini

The flying squirrels, scientifically known as Pteromyini or Petauristini, are a tribe of squirrel (family Sciuridae). There are 43 species in this tribe, the largest of which is the woolly flying squirrel (Eupetaurus cinereus). The 2 species of the genus Glaucomys (Glaucomys sabrinus and Glaucomys volans) are native to North America, and the Siberian flying squirrel is native to parts of northern Europe (Pteromys volans). The term "flying" is somewhat misleading, since flying squirrels are actu

I'm Back.

Thanks to an account fiasco, my premier membership was stripped from me. I lived in the cold streets of the membership, sucking putarra dew sticks out of the trash can, coughing up my own plasmatic receptor acid until I collapsed and was pronounced dead for six whole months. I was known better for being the "exile who returned." What I did in this six-month period will be explained when I get some caffeine into my tarnished system.   Now, I'm back in black.   Put on some AC/DC, can't you take
