So, lately there's been a lot of pony hate. Or so I've read, I never actually saw any of it, I assume it was deleted or something. But anyway, as someone who's popular in the blog circle in the same way that The Room is popular amongst film fans, I figured I'd weigh in. Both sides need to chill. I think that's a definite, and I say that as someone who considers themselves a Brony, so doesn't exactly have much reason to go after the community unless most of us deserve it, which we do. I enjoy
If you have me on Steam, and I'm playing anything, yell at me to go get some work done. I have more important things to sink time into at the moment. Unless it's Left 4 Dead 2 once I get it. Zombie games get a pass this close to Halloween.
So, after reading DLC containing pretty much all of the first Left 4 Dead is coming out for the second one soon, I was thinking of picking up a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 for halloween. Can I get some first-hand opinions?
So for a while I was going to do an entry about all the stuff I would've blogged about but didn't because we were closed. But that list is kind of gigantic now, so that's not going to work. So I'll just throw this welcome home image up, and say that I'm planning a renovation of this thing to accompany the new format. We are back live, ladies and gentlemen.
I need something new to kill stress and ease some tension. Playing music and games aren't cutting it, and I've got a huge load I need to blow off. Any ideas on how to get some stuff out?
And this is my favourite Mass Effect 2 ending on the Citadel.
This is about the ending I got, so assume direct spoilers and don't read if you haven't played.
Normandy fully upgraded, entire team alive, minor crew included, Collectors dead, Reapers invading, romance successfully romanced, went renegade at the end and gave Martin Sheen the biggest screw-you possible, today was a good day. Now I can finally enjoy the prerelease material for ME3, and tinker with the emulator without concern t
And this is my favourite Windows emulator on the Citadel.
Finally got it working. Still trying to figure out how to import my ME1 save, but I'm not going to touch anything until I know what I'm doing, just looking for now, don't want to mess it up again. Playing Generic Shep, and it's not too bad so far, though that's probably helped by the fact I haven't met Councilor Udina that Generic McAwfulchoices Shepard appointed for some reason, or met Wrex's replacement yet. That and I was able to ma
>Get ME2 working
>Break it
>Spend the next few hours trying and failing to fix it
I need to learn to stop messing with things...
Edit: Alright, I think it's working again. Lets not poke around to see what this emulator does differently this time...
So, the emulator I tried that I contacted the guy who made it? It seems to be working! Going to try GenericShep up through the walkthrough to be sure, but it seems to be functioning. I can't take screenshots in the emulator, but hey, it works, no complaints, right?
Unfortunately, it would seem that it doesn't like the format Wine used for the ME1 playthrough, so I may have to replay Mass Effect. Not a big issue though, as it has more than a few dialogue trees I can take that won't change the
Can someone please enlighten me to the internet's recent pony craze, what it's from, why it's popular as such, whether it's genuine or satirical, if the former, where I can find the material it's from if I'd enjoy it? I never have enough things to prevent me from getting stuff done, I could use another show to watch if it's good.
Through random chance, it turns out an employee of the small company that makes one of the emulators I use is a member of another forum I'm on.
I'm not sure if he's part of their dev team, but given I'm not the only one who's had these same problems with ME2 in their current software as well as in Wine, and Mass Effect's a big series right now, this could be my ticket to getting it working.
Game Informer, why must you taunt me not only with Shepard front-and-center, but by giving me a cover story I can't even read for fear of ME2 spoilers?
Victory is mine!
The only thing that'd make it sweeter would be getting ME2 to work, though I have an idea to try later tonight, hopefully it'll get things done.
As well as free-hand with a pen, I've been playing with the more professional method of drawing basic shapes and "carving" the image out of them lately. One such experiment was this - Samurai Blockhead, a drawing that actually hasn't gone too badly. It's still just lineart, but hey, it's better than a lot of my sketches. His head is still pencil though, and that's because I'm unsure; I'm a terrible artist with heads. I can draw faces straight-on half-decently, but from the side they look silly,
It's only four years away now, so lets turn on Huey Lewis & The News and run down the list of stuff from the 2015 scenes in the second movie and see if we're coming close.
So out of 37 things, with three-five more years for development, we have 13 we've done, 16 we haven't, 3 that exist, but nothing like they did in the movies, and 5 that're being developed. Overall, given it was optimistic enough to have flying cars, hoverboards, robots, bionic implants and all that commonplace, I th
And now my TF2 Gift Pass is expired. On the bright side though, I dug up Axe Cop, which has been delightfully uplifting. On that note, how come nobody told me about Axe Cop sooner?
Which reminds me, art coming later tonight.
How long is it going to be until Nintendo starts incorporating button combinations that lower the capture rate when you hold them down just to screw with these theories?
Tried out the online, and not only is it indeed better, but I now believe I'm addicted to this game. Now I need to find a copy for once the Gift Pass runs out...
A friend on another forum gave me his Gift Pass for TF2, so I have it for the weekend.
I think I may have to buy a full copy of this - I have somewhere to be tomorrow, so I didn't want to get hooked on the online tonight, but I'm enjoying playing against bots offline(That alone could probably justify it since it's only $10), if the multiplayer is better, which people seem to tell me it is, I'm sold.
So, recently, I've been noticing that I've been lacking actual substance. For the most part it's been a mixture of meme after meme, and me whining about ME2 not working(Bioware, why have you forsaken me?!), which is ironic coming from someone who once railed against people using blogs for things that'd be more appropriate on Twitter. Being the writer of all of it, I'm to blame of course, and I take full responsibility and apologize as is appropriate, and I'll try to have some content that's actu
It's great watching stuff that I watched as a little kid I was more perceptive most enough to enjoy, but nowhere near perceptive enough to understand everything about it, and enjoying the whole thing five times as much as I did back when I was a kid. Also finally getting the soundtracks that stuck in my head for about half a decade.
