Getting Kidnapp-I Mean Picked Up.

Xccj should be here soonish, and that means I should pack and get ready.   I'm typing this on the laptop I'm taking, and I haven't even packed clothes yet   But the island's ready to go. At least I handled priorities.

And the work continues to kill me.

Go figure, I get one day off in 5 days' worth of time.   So, tomorrow I stay home and do my own stuff, then tuesday I head in and actually do other things not-really-work-but-work related, then I think I work the rest of the week.   Long story short, I am the brokes and the tireds D:

BrickCon Journal Entry #1: New Series?

... Nah, I'll forget it exists in a week. XD   Anyway, I am all packed up for BrickCon as far as models go, except I need to finish my wacky racer.   I'm also set for the hotel (still figuring out transportation, but it seems pretty safe to me) and all that.   So yeah, I look forward to it next week 8D

I Don't Always Post Blog Entries

But when I do, I prefer to post something amazing.     Boss wanted me to add links and stuff on BS01 to sites I cannot mention here (but got permission to link on BS01 from Black Six, so I'm safe to link it on BS01) so I made him a new logo, cause I couldn't stand the last one.   He liked it.

Bought More Floyd Today

I'm a glutton for Pink Floyd, I am   I went to FYE and found Delicate Sound of Thunder, plus a live DVD concert film of David Gilmour (Remember That Night: Live at the Royal Albert Hall), then went to Wal-Mart, saw The Making of Dark Side of the Moon, which I had seen on Netflix once or twice, and I loved immensly. So I picked that up, too.   Next time I get a load of cash? The Wall Immersion. I've made up my mind.   Anything new with you guys? XD

MakutaFest 2015 Audio Download

MakutaFest 2015 is behind us. Now, it is time to look forward.   ... But while we're looking forward, let's listen back to the past : D     Again, thank you to all the listeners, and to my TTV and BS01 co-hosts. Let's never talk about this again.   ... Until next year

Saturday Before Easter

Nobody should have to work the whole weekend.   And yet I went in. And I liked it. : D   But yeah, working and stuff. Always good.

Emerald City C Con Wrapup Pt. 1: Swert Meets Batman!

Emerald City ComicCon was epic. Our booth was in the very opening of the registration room, so we got plenty of visitors. We also had a few guests visit the booth and check our stuff out. Wil Wheaton signed a model depicting himself signing the model. Very meta. The voices for Pinky And The Brain signed a mosaic of the characters, which was pretty epic. John DiMaggio visited the booth, but was bummed to find nothing there for him to sign (he voices Bender in Futurama.)   As for me? I MET BATMAN.

ECCC and Brick by Brick Event

Man, chaos all around x_x   So, I'm planning to attend ECCC this Friday (Yay SEALUG free pass!) and enjoy the event. We're taking 12 of our Superhero Megafigs (the 12x minifig models we make), all Marvel, including a Stan Lee model. They will be on display along with the other SEALUG and ARCHLUG models. I'll see if I can get photos while I'm there, if anybody is interested. Who knows, I may run into other BZP people there, I hope? Like, can I not be lonely that day? : D   Second, I'm also in the

Coordinating a Bionicle area... First time for anything, right?

So I've been placed in charge of coordinating a (rather small-ish?) table area for a Lego art and play event in Tacoma, WA. I've already begun planning how it will form together, but the fun part still comes in that I need to build about 7-10 new items that go towards it being awesome, including a new display case for my masks.   In other news, if you happen to hear from the TTV Brickfeed podcast I was on, I actually left my job of six years recently. This is one of the contributing factors in l

BS01 Podcast Takes A Journey... To One.

I have to say, I am super proud of SPIRIT for getting us hooked up with Volta and the voice actors. Seriously, SPI does not get enough credit from us, and I want to fix that now.   Basically, praise SPI. He earned it.   ... Also go listen to our interviews.

How My Weekend Looks So Far

1. Gotta finally upload photos for a client who paid me in advance (money in which I used to go to BrickCon.) I've had so much on my plate, it's been put off until now.   2. Need to do basic cleaning of the household. I already overhauled it, but man it could use more work.   3. Boss called me up yesterday to generate a mosaic for him, due sunday night. Man, when'd I get the cool job/hard job?   5. Sleep. _-_ Zz

Moc Ideas

Xccj had his, so now I should keep a log of what I want.   1) Weighted Storage/Companion Cube If I make a WSC, I'd make it light up. If I make WCC, it'd just be standard. I can find enough plate to make the stripes light up.   2) Microcity scale anything I am fascinated by micro, being that I personally have limited parts in system. I can envision a whole table layout, using 8x8 plate as my base, either baseplate or regular plate. Nearly anybody could submit an 8x8 plate of any standard color, a

WMKK

Twelve years after the legendary hunt for the Sterling Silver and White Metal Krana-Kal, I finally got my hands on at least one of the 5,000 WMKK. On top of that? I also got the card -and- the bag.     I am very pleased with this addition to my collection. It is probably the only "rare" collectible I plan to go after in my lifetime, as it was the most likely to obtain.)   Special thanks to Toa Lhikan Hordika for giving me the opportunity to use currency in a way to exchange goods to the benefit

Laptop Entry #6: I'm Still Doing This? Also T F 2

So since I'm stuck on this machine I call SWERT01, I decided to reinstall TF2 onto it. I figure what the hey, I can at least go catch up on my items in the meantime.   Also, this is an actual conversation paraphrased I had earlier today:   "Hey folks, I'm bored and I'm downloading TF2, wanna watch a DVD?" "Sure, what?" "P·U·L·S·E?" "Sure."   Best. Parents. Ever.   So yeah, watching that concert now. No complaints or thrown stuff at my head so far.   *Insert Freddie Mercury meme emote here*

BS01 Podcast and more

Whew, editing videos can be challenging some days. I posted not but BS01 Podcast Interview episodes on our YouTube channel. I have to say, I came up with a very useful format that's very easy to edit and publish, but eventually I'm going to have to find a way to make it even faster. Also the fact I have a 40 minute video to edit next will likely notKill me   I also finally got my ticket for BrickCon 2016 (YAAAY I'M GOING THIS YEAR!) and I'm going full-force this time. I don't know what I wi

MakutaFest 2014 Grand Prize Vahi Instructions

During MakutaFest 2014, we had a grand prize giveaway of a Lego sculpture modeled after the Legend of Metru-Nui Vahi. The winner was, of course, VoxuChro.   When I posted the topic for signup, I mentioned I could only ship to North America, due to cost and insurance. However, to make up for this limitation to our non-NA listeners, I agreed to release the instructions to the public so anybody, regardless of country of origin, could get one of they so chose to make one. Therefore, today I publical

Status on the MakutaFest Vahi Grand Prize

Alright, so if you were part of the randomness that was MakutaFest 2014, you would recall I mentioned something about a grand prize. That grand prize was, of course, a Vahi that was practically life-sized, based on the movie-edition, and made of Lego.   It took me ~1 hour to build from scratch in the studio I work at, and took me all of 30 minutes in LDD to build and pose. I then took it into another program to make instructions of it, so others can build it at home. The only difference between

I'll be working on setting up this year's train layout.   Would anybody be interested in pics and/or a video of one of the trains going on the track?   Also, I could use a break already x_x but I have Wed-Fri off : D

BrickCon 2013: PvC

... I have a few ideas there.   I've been very inspired by the theme. In fact, I'm more inspired even before the theme was finished being presented to us.   ... Oh also, the full name is Pigs vs Cows.   ... Should have mentioned that before I posted this, yeah?   Probably.

Emerald City ComiCon Haul: Day One

Today was day one of Emerald City ComiCon. I didn't waste any time in this fac     Click for OneDrive folder I had both 2001 Comic #1 and 2006 Comic #1 signed by their respective artists. Stuart Sayger is an amazing guy to meet, and I regretting not having other comics for him to sign so I could justify more time just talking and getting to learn more. I may consider commissioning art for BS01 from him down the line.'   Carlos D'Anda was also very pleasant to meet, and I was in awe of his othe

I Watched The First Five Episodes Of Galidor

I can't name the source of them, but I can discuss what I saw.   I honestly thought it'd be -bad- given what I remembered. But strikingly, despite the campy acting and the pretty hurried script, I'd be down for a reboot if the copyright issues can be fixed.   More specifically, the opening in the first episode with "the stranger" and waking up to seeing Nick Bluetooth (that -is- his real name in the show, for those not old enough to remember it) was a great hook for someone like me.   I won't go
