Holy cow you guys. The Avengers was such a great movie! Joss Whedon did an amazing job of giving every character screen time. Yes, the CGI was amazing. At certain points where action sequences would pick up, you could notice the computer animation, but during dialogue scenes I was blown away. I think the part that I most noticed where the eyes of the Omatiyaca (I think that's what they're called).

As you've probably noticed by scanning the blog index, today was "Pi Day." I recently read a comic that is summarized like this: "Everyone should know at least the first two or three digits of Pi. Scientists can get by with knowing about ten to fifteen digits. Anyone who knows more than that are just "meanies.'" (Except it said a different word there.) Seriously, if there's ever a need to know more than a few digits of pi, let me know.

As I mentioned earlier, I went on a trip to Six Flags over Georgia today. We arrived probably 15 minutes after they opened and somehow managed to find a close parking spot. So we entered the park and bee-lined for the newest coaster, The Goliath. Since this was our first ride of the day, we decided to go ahead and try to sit up front. We wait for our turn, and we go to put our backpack in the little cubbyhole thing they have sitting at the ride exit. I sit in my seat and strap myself in.
