Ticket

After nearly 3 years of driving without being pulled over by a cop, my streak is over.   Last Sunday, I was pulled over because my front left headlight was out. I only got a citation for that, I just had to fix it, get a cop to check the light then sign the citation, then drop the citation off at the municipal court. No biggie.   Tonight, I was coming home. I saw the cops (one facing both ways) parked on the right side of the road, but it was too late. I tried slowing down but I was going to

This Is It, This Is It

I find out if my sister's baby is a boy or girl tomorrow!   I'm personally betting on a boy, but I have my own selfish reasons why.   What say you? Hmm?

This Is For You Than

So Than said my blog stinks?   Oh well. I have a reason.   My 360 needs some luvin'.   And the other day, I finally found out what brown-nosing is. I'd always has a little idea...but that day confirmed it.   I'm the third person to dedicate a blog to Than. I suggest you all dedicate one to him now, as he is just that awesome.

There's An App For That

I want a phone that can ping other phones within a close distance and transfer personal information wirelessly and then automatically update the information in your contacts. If there isn't an app for that, I should make it, and become insta-rich.   I want a device that attaches to your buggy at Wal-Mart (or other applicable super-market) and as you add items to your cart, you can scan the item. The device will keep a running total before you check out so you don't overspend.   I'm a genius,

The Week

Yes, this week is officially being called "THE Week" by me because it is the week that both the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii are going to be released. I myself don't plan on bying a PS3 anytime soon, but my local Wal-Mart had a display up, and I must say it was -very- shiney. They didn't have a Wii demo, just the little banner above the section where the games will be. I do hope to be visiting a few Gamestops in town this week to see if they have any kiosks up. I've been reading more and m

The Weather Outside Isn't Frightful

Please, can't it stay like this for the rest of the year? It got up to about 65 degree today. Lovely day. Sadly, a cold front is about to come through. <<   So my brother is spending the week in the hospital. He was having a hard time breathing while stretching before basketball practice, so he was rushed to PriMed. They didn't find anything, so they sent him to the hospital. They found out that 15% of his lungs have collapsed. He's ok now, but it's rather odd that it would happen to him.

The Party Never Stops

Last night was one of the highlights of my life. I went to see (in order of appearance) Cry of the Afflicted, Pierce the Veil, As Cities Burn, Mayday Parade, and Emery.   Now, the whole thing started off in a negative way. We only had one trusted and responsible driver (me), 8 people who wanted to attend the concert, and one vehicle that could only fit 7 people in it. Needless to say, I called everyone up Wednesday and asked if they were really wanting to go to the concert. Eventually, I asked

The Last Weekend

I'm heading into my last weekend of the summer. And strangely enough, I'm looking forward to it. You see, me and my brother are -finally- moving downstairs, we can have our own privacy. After being in such a small room ever since we've been in this house, moving down into the basemet will be relaxing. And the place is going to rock. My brother is bring a bigger TV down, and a sofa, and with my Xbox360, the place is going to be raw. Now we just need a pool table or ping pong table. It's a perfect

The Last Free Weekend

This is my last free weekend of the summer. Luckily, I don't have to work, I don't have any plans, and I'm alone at my sisters house while she's away at the beach.   Perfect.   Of course, school starts Monday and I've been rather sick lately. Today is probably the peak of my illness; I'm coughing like crazy and my nose is oozing fluids of all kinds. Hopefully this will clear up before my first day of school.   Thankfully, this is my last year of high school. My school is going way down-hill

The Hunger Games

Earlier today, I finished the audiobook of Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games. This was my first time listening to a book and I must say I quite enjoyed it. If given the option, however, I feel like I would chose to read an actual book as opposed to listening to one being read to me. It simply comes down to the fact that I retain information better if I read it off of paper.   As far as the book, I was not particularly impressed. I don't know if I bought into the hype too much or if people were

The Hulk

The Incredible Hulk was an amazing movie. I would say it was right on par with Iron Man, if not a little bit better (Liv Tyler is hotter than whats-her-face.). So anyone who enjoys good action/super hero movies should see this one as well.   I also saw Get Smart this weekend, which was very funny. It was better than Zohan in the sense that Get Smart had an actual plot and action in it.   Oh BTW, I'm the coolest Transformer evar!

The Hoard

I need to think of titles that actually reflect my entry, but for now I'm just using song titles.   I was elected class president today! Fourth year in a row, and this time I get to do things like help with homecoming and junk.   Oh, and it's a boy. B) We just need a name now. Heh, the nurse took a picture from the ultrasound of the baby's skull, and she probably got the worst angle, because that was one freaky picture. o.o The baby had a pointy upper lip too...

The Great

Just a little something I made in Photoshop this past week. My best friend and I were put in charge of making the graduation slideshow, so I started playing around with things in Photoshop and made this. I'm quite proud, and I hope my skills keep improving. I just wish I had Photoshop at home.

The Devil Wears Prada

Most hardcore band everr. If you like that kind of music check them out.   Um, I got accepted to Auburn University at Montgomery. I'll be in the School of Business, which is apparently a very prestigious school, studying Information Systems. I'm also hoping to live on campus. It'd be so much easier than living 30 minutes from school and driving everywhere. Plus, all my friends would have a place to come and chill.   Yeah...   Went to Wendy's tonight. THE FROSTY MACHINE WAS FROZEN. (Or so sh

The Color Red

I have never hated the color red so much in my entire life. My Xbox360 just gave me the Red Ring of Death.   Not only has this happened before, it has already happened twice. Hopefully, three times will be the last. My Xbox had been working prefectly fine for the past 10 months, so this is quite unexpected. Atleast I'm still under warranty, or else I would have been enraged.   Now I won't have my Xbox for my birthday and probably not even for Spring Break.   And on a week when I'm hardly e

The Classes

First day back to school, it was bearable. Break and lunch were odd, as most of my friends from last year weren't there to make things more interesting. But anywho, this year will be the easiest year of high school for me.   1 period: Gov./Econ. 12 2: Pre-Calc 3: Grammar/Brit.Lit 12 4: Physics (!) 5: Yearbook 6: Comp. Tech   First period will be easy. Pre-Calc will be fun and more enjoyable because our new teacher 'doesn't like homework." I think he's realized that most kids don't even

The Blue Blur

What's that you say? You saw a blue blur in that Super Smash Bros. Brawl video? Oh, that must be Sonic the Hedgehog.   Yes, folks, Sonic has been confirmed for SSBB, along with an online co-op feature.   Discuss.

That Nervous Feeling Before

Who else gets that nervous feeling deep in your gut before you take a test/final? I most certainly do, even though I know that I'm probably going to be just fine. Still, something about not having a real class for nearly two weeks before the final is making me double-guess myself. The last two class sessions, we watched Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman" and the week before that we watched F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby." Both were very entertaining films, but since then I feel as if

Teacher Conferences Ftw!

No school tomorrow or Friday! It's about time I get a few days off.   Now, if only I had my Xbox to make the days off even better...   I laugh at you as you go to school tomorrow and Friday.

T O Ms Shoes

Everyone should go buy a pair. They are incredibly comfortable. Plus, with every pair you purchase, another pair goes to a kid in need. One for one.

Summer 2009

This summer has been the best summer ever.   To start off, I drove 12+ hours straight the first day of July from Montgomery, Alabama, to San Antonio, Texas, to see my best friend graduate from Air Force BMT. That night (we left on the 1st, arrive at our hotel at 3:30AM on the 2nd) I slept for about 40 minutes once I finally went to sleep at around 4:45. My friends mom called me early that morning to tell me we had to leave early to get on base and get our guess passes. After Jim's graduation p

Such Sorrow

My Xbox360 officially bit the dust today. I can't even get anything to load without getting the Red Lights of Death. I don't know what happened to it; it was so faithful to me. Many a night we sat together into the early hours of day playing the latest gaming masterpiece. Now, I will be deprived of gaming-goodness for atleast a month, as I send my love off to the Land of Microsoft so that they may take my console into their loving grasp and fix it so that we may once again play together. Oh, wha
