Thought it was about time I started doing this.

Let me say this first - the MOCs I feature here are from a group of mine called Piece Out, on a different website. Not all of these MOCists will be from BZPower. So yeah, enjoy :)

 

January MOC of the Month:

Atlantians by BioRays

This MOC has one of the most unique torso designs I've ever seen. The use of Mata feet is incredible, and at first I actually though it was an Inika torso piece. I really love the arm-blades, namely those from Tarix. The colour scheme struck me as being quite different. Although gold/blue or keetorange/blue are used sometimes, I've never actually seen a gold/keetorange/blue combo. In this case, it seem to work rather well. The only real complaint I have about this MOC is the leg structure. They look a bit gappy, especially at the knee joint. Absolutely loving the head, although the eyes could have been placed a little better.

Overall, a very creative MOC in all aspects.

I think you might have started a trend. :) But seriously this is an exceptional idea. Hope you don't mind if I do something like this sometime down the road.

Not really. Nobody's actively doing it at the moment, but I've seen it done multiple times before.

The colors are a big mess on it, but build-wise the dude's done a pretty good job.

 

The only thing colour-wise that really annoys me is the light grey here and there. I just can't get over that torso :blink:

 

I shall start having a featured MOC of the month.

Cool idea, I wish I was in that group :P

 

Anyways personally I really enjoy the top half of the head and torso design. The onua claw on the face gives it too much of a gruff look IMO, something smoother woulddefinantly fit the appearence of this. I agree with you on the legs, smaller in length would be better >_> I wouldnt really attempt this myself as it would be extremely difficult to use the colors, I'd like to see this with black, keetorange, and gold. It could possibley look even better :3

 

Anyways its a cool MOC, but some works needed :/

As I said in Piece Out I like it a lot. I'm just not a fan of the shin design. I hope one of my MOCs will be featured next month.
