EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. The answer is actually quite simple; it just involves a slightly different method of thinking than what most people are used to using when solving puzzles.

 

It's impossible, though. The only way to win is '2D style'.

 

I solved it in 3D style, and believe me, it's very much possible. I'll give you a hint: Loopholes are your friends...

Dang it, it turns out my solution wouldn't work. I went from Point A back to Point A again. ARGH.

EDIT: Wait a minute... that puzzle doesn't specify exactly how long a 'step' is. I just might still be in the game -- that is, until Lhikevikk knocks down this theory.
