My History In Lego

Queen of Noise

I was browsing Brickset and, out of curiosity, decided to see if I could remember every Lego set I've ever owned in these nearly-22 years of my life thus far. Since they're all laid out there by year, this was easy and quick - a simple matter of just scrolling through and jotting down ones I remembered having. I know I do have more Lego bricks than what I've gleaned from these sets, because I know I had regular old Lego blocks in my infancy, as well as some old 80s space pieces, but I don't think any were complete sets; I think they were all secondhand parts.

I've organized the list by (as near as I can remember) when I got each set, which in many cases was a year two after the set in question was released, as we would get things on sale. So you'll notice things like me getting the Throwbot Ski in 2010, haha. I've also tried to note things about how I acquired each set, or little details here and there. It's certainly not comprehensive. Before 1996 or so I didn't have any sort of allowance (I wasn't really old enough to work around the house for it), so I assume everything before then was a gift. But before 2000 or so, my memory is really hazy on what I bought and what was a gift. Sets where I don;t know whether I bought them or was given them are marked with an asterisk.

So, enjoy my pointless little list, I guess?

Ack, how long did it take you to put all the links together oO

Oh but the sets you list in the 90's bring back so many good memories ^^

And one thing more: Steven Spielberg Movie Maker set rocked. SO HARD! Too bad the software won't work on newer systems...it would still be installed otherwise.

Ah, the 90s, with so many cool sets...

Yeah, I've been looking through Brickset at my collection too. It's surprising at how much I've actually collected over time. That, plust after 2001, all my purchases turned to Bionicle until like 2009. ;)

Anyway, nice collection.

I have 90% of these sets.

I will not even get into how and when I got Lego sets because it's unfathomable. Partially because I own sets like this.
