Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker

March 14: Spent $20 on Wind Waker

Found out that it would not work, and could not find a place to return it. Thankfully, I got it cleaned and it worked. Sadly, I lacked a GameCube controller.

April 11/12th: Purchased GameCube controller for $8.

April 16th: Gamecube controller arrive. Eagerly put the disk in, plugged in the game... and I need a GCN memory card in order to save it.

This is turning out to be one expensive venture.... :( Nothing I can do now but think of a new plan (and hope I know someone who has a spare GCN card.)

But Toon Link is so adorable...

GCN cards can be pretty cheap. Some on amazon are listed at only $3 or $6. Of course they vary in storage size, but I bet you could even run with a small card unless you plan to buy a lot of GCN games.

Although I really don't understand why you can't store GCN files on the Wii memory. Both systems used the same "block" format after all. >.>

I recommend on official Nintendo memory card. I have a 3rd party card that loses all the data on it if its bumped, but have no problem with my Nintendo one.

Best Zelda game ever. Even better than Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. Totes worth it.
Nonsense. (Granted, MM was terrible.) The later bit of Wind Waker where you have to get the charts deciphered and sail around collecting stuff is easily one of the worst things in any Zelda game. The rest of the game is great though, making it even more of a shame that that portion exists.
