"The day after birthday" - (Hidron, or any other native speaker of Italian, feel free to correct me if my translation was wrong! :] )

I didn't really do much but drawing and reading my new books... speaking of books, I wanted to give you a (vague) list of my presents!

- 3 Sketch blocks: A4 and A3 in awesome paper (soo smoooth <3), one A2-sized one, too ^^

- 2 sketch books (one of them has an awesome design ^^)

- a turtle plushie with bunny ears (easter turtle!)

- a book about Comic strips (drawing, writing, publishsing)

- a book about Animation (traditional animation)

- aaand lotsa of other stuff which I don't quite remember now. ^^

So you see, it was a wonderful birthday. And I enjoyed it a lot.

Hey, maybe being/turning 17 is not that bad after all happy.gif

Sketch pad, sketch block... ehm. Something like that. Looks like my translation failed, sorry :(

Ah, I see.

What's the difference between a sketch pad and a sketch book?

Or is a sketch book a book written about sketching? xD

Sorry for all the questions.

:P

Yay! I knew that was Italian! :D

Admitted, I didn´t know what it meant, but still.

Equally admitted, I also first thought it was just backwards English. But still. :P

The Easter Turtle sounds like it, as a live species, would outlive humans. Really, the long life of a turtle combined with the enchanced hearing of a bunny and the annual chocolate egg powers of Easter in general. Not even our technology can secure our survival longer than that.

I´d have understood the thing about the sketch block. Mainly because I also didn´t know it wasn´t called that (I guess Danish and German are reminiscent enough to have many of the same rough translations).

I don´t see anything wrong with being 17 at all. Rather, the problems are 16 (because the bus/train prices double when you´re over 16, or at least here it does) and 18 (I believe the age of 18 means you´re technically an adult who occasionally has to be responsible-ish). ;)

I don't like writing words backwards, it gets really hard to read :|

Italian, on the other hand, sounds pretty nice IMO. ^^ Aand it's mysterious d:

xD This sounds really scientific and plausible, which is great. :D How come you're so good at that kind of stuff?

I have problems with translating such things as "Zeichenblock" or "Notizbuch"; but I agree with you, from the few Danish I've seen/heard the 2 languages do seem to be somewhat reminescent ^^ (Another reason why I want to learn it so badly... but at the moment I'm trying to get my Italian to a acceptable level ><)

Turning 17 means that turning 18 and therefore the end of childhood is coming closer and closer... but other than that, you're totally right, and I fully agree with you. =)

Turning 17 can't be too bad if you get all this stuff. :P

Also, MOSM's last paragraph is probably true.

Agreed =D

Mhm, I think you're right.
