Apparently though, it might not be canon. I'm on a mobile so I can't post a link, but basically the timeline was released in a book along with a note from the main Zelda director guy (or something) that it has contradictions. Have a lookysee on Google for the story.

What really blows my mind is that all the pre-64 and the Oracle games are set in Ocarina's Bad Future.
